Vivo has started teasing the launch of Vivo S18 series smartphones. The upcoming S18 series devices will debut as a successor to the Vivo S17 series smartphones, launched under the Vivo V29 monikers in the global markets. The forthcoming S18 series includes Vivo S18, Vivo S18 Pro, and Vivo S18e smartphones. MySmartPrice also spotted the vanilla S18 smartphone in the GeekBench listing.
The upcoming S18 series smartphones will debut under the Vivo V30 series moniker in the global markets. MySmartPrice previously spotted the vanilla Vivo V30 smartphone with the same chipset in the GeekBench listing. The design of the upcoming S18 series smartphones was revealed through teasers shared by the brand. Vivo later confirmed that the Vivo TWS 3e will debut with the smartphones. The company announced the smartphone’s colour options before its debut through a new post on Weibo.
Vivo S18 Series Expected Specifications
Vivo confirms that the upcoming smartphones will debut in Black and Grey colour options. Vivo previously teased the device in a feather white colour option. The BBK group-owned company will launch the S18 series smartphones with flower-like patterns on the rear of the device. Vivo will equip the device with a camera island in a square shape with rounded corners.
The LED flash and ring LED light can be seen on a separate island within the main rectangular island. The images shared by the brand confirm that it will sport a triple rear camera setup with Aura light. The pictures also confirm the support for Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) for the primary sensors. Vivo recently divulged that the smartphones will debut on December 14 in China. The smartphone can be pre-booked through online retailers like JD.com.
Vivo confirms that it will equip the Vivo S18 Pro smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset, built on a 4nm process. Vivo claims that the smartphone has scored over 1.2 million in the AnTuTu V10 benchmark. The device will feature a 50MP Sony IMX 920 sensor with OIS and f/1.8 aperture. The 50MP primary sensor will be paired with a secondary 50MP ultrawide lens and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.
Vivo debuted the IMX 920 sensor previously with the Vivo X100 series smartphones. The 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom is sourced from the Vivo X90s smartphone. The S18 Pro smartphone is tipped to feature a 50MP selfie camera with dual soft light. The forthcoming smartphones will be backed with 5000mAh battery. Vivo might equip the smartphones with up to 80W wired fast charging.
The vanilla S18 smartphone will sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. Vivo claims the device scores over 1 billion points in the AnTuTu V10 benchmark. The GeekBench listing divulges that the device scored 1221 points in single-core tests and 3468 points in multi-core tests. The smartphone will run on Origin OS 4 based on Android 14 out of the box.
