Vivo V29 5G: What the Google Play Console and Support Devices List Reveals

The Vivo V29 5G will be one of the upcoming premium smartphones from the company. It is expected to launch soon in various markets. Ahead of the launch, the device has been spotted on the Google Play Console and Support Devices List. The listing reveals the moniker of the phone and its model number. The V29 5G carries the model number V2250. The listing shows that the device features a Snapdragon 778G processor, 8GB RAM and runs on Android 13 out of the box.

The phone was recently spotted on the FCC certification website with the same model number. It revealed that the V29 5G packs a 4505mAh battery. Also, the device will offer support for up to 80W wired fast charging tech. Vivo is likely to bundle the charging adapter in the box.

In addition to the above details, the V29 5G was also spotted on the NBTC certification website, which confirmed its 5G network connectivity. It has also been previously spotted on the IMDA and Bluetooth SIG certification websites.

The V29 5G is tipped to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC under the hood. It might come with 8GB of RAM at least and offer 128GB or 256GB storage options. The phone is also expected to run Android 13 out of the box and have a layer of Funtouch OS 13 on top.

Vivo’s upcoming V-series phones might share the design elements. If so, the V29 will have a rectangular camera module on the back. The module will house two circular cutouts for the camera sensors, outside of which will be an LED flash.

We can expect the phones to feature a curved AMOLED display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The V29 5G will be a successor to the V27 5G, which was launched in India earlier this year. The V27 5G features a 6.78-inch Super AMOLED display with curved edges and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. There is a hole-punch cutout at the top for the front camera. The device also features a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC and a 4600 mAh battery which supports 66W fast charging.

On the back, the V27 5G has a triple-camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. The phone has a 50MP front camera and runs FuntouchOS 13 based on Android 13.
