Vivo X Fold with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, 12GB RAM Listed on Geekbench Ahead of Launch

Vivo is gearing up to launch its first foldable handset – Vivo X Fold in the Chinese market. Alongside the X Fold, the company will also launch the Vivo X Note and the Vivo Pad on the 11th of April. Earlier this morning, the upcoming Vivo Pad was spotted on the Geekbench 5 database. Now, we have spotted the Vivo X Fold handset, with model number V2178A, on the Geekbench benchmark database.

The Geekbench benchmark listing also confirms some of the key specifications of Vivo’s first foldable. Let us take a closer look at the Vivo X Fold benchmark scores and specifications.

Vivo X Fold Will Come Pre-loaded With Android 12!

Ahead of the launch, the upcoming X Fold with model number V2178A has now appeared Geekbench 5 benchmark database. As per the listing, the upcoming foldable device managed to score 1223 points in the single core round of the Geekbench 5 test. Whereas, in the multi-core round, the score was recorded as 3335 points.

Additionally, the benchmark listing reveals the presence of an octa-core Qualcomm processor with codename taro and 1 + 3 + 4 cluster configuration. Based on this, Vivo’s first foldable appears to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and Adreno 730 GPU. To those unaware, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is Qualcomm’s top of the line offering as of now and is built on Samsung’s 4nm fabrication process.

Apart from this, the geekbench listing also confirms a 12GB RAM variant of the X Fold. However, the company might launch the X Fold in other memory configurations as well. On the software side, the X Fold will boot Android 12 out of the box.

Earlier this week, the specifications of Vivo’s upcoming foldable surfaced on the web via a leaked poster. As per the leak, the X Fold will offer an 8-inch foldable display with a Quad HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It will be a LTPO 3.0 AMOLED display. Apart from it, the cover display on the device will be a 6.53-inch Full HD+ resolution dislay with a 120Hz refresh rate.
