Vivo is gearing up for the X70 series launch. The company has confirmed the launch date of its new flagship smartphone series in China. Vivo’s X70 series will debut on September 9. The company is expected to launch three premium devices. These include the X70, X70 Pro and X70 Pro Plus. Ahead of the launch, some key details of the new Vivo phones have leaked in the past. Now, the three devices have visited a couple of certification websites ahead of the launch. Let’s take a look at the Vivo X70, X70 Pro and X70 Pro+ specs, features and other details.
Vivo X70 series launch confirmed; visits BIS, NBTC
Vivo has confirmed the launch date of the X70 series in China. Ahead of the launch, the premium phones have visited BIS and NBTC websites.
The X70 Pro and X70 Pro+ have been listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. They have the model numbers V2105 and V2114. The X70 5G, along with the X70 Pro 5G, is listed on the NBTC website. The X70 5G has the model number V2104.
Vivo has already confirmed that the X70 series will debut with Vivo’s custom V1 chip. Details about the Image Signal Processor (ISP) remain unknown at the moment. We can expect the company to unveil the details at the launch event.
MySmartPrice has already leaked the design renders of the vanilla X70 smartphone. It will come with a flat 6.5-inch display sporting a hole-punch cutout. The phone will have a triple-camera setup on the back. Design renders of the other two devices have also leaked.
The X70 Pro is said to come with a 6.5-inch curved display and a quad-camera setup on the back. Both phones will share the Dimensity 1200 SoC under the hood and come with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The top-of-the-line X70 Pro Plus will also sport a curved AMOLED display. The screen size, however, is slightly taller at 6.7-inch and is likely to feature a 120Hz refresh rate support. It will also have a Zeiss-branded quad-camera setup on the back.
There is no official word on the camera sensor details at the moment. It is rumoured to feature a camera sensor bigger than 1/1.28-inches. The current X60 Pro+ has a 50MP 1/1.31-inch sensor. Vivo could also introduce a secondary display on the X70 Pro Plus. It could be similar to the one found on the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. The phone will come with a Snapdragon 888 SoC. Other specs include a 4500 mAh battery with 66W fast charging support.
