Vivo Y35 5G Tipped to Launch Soon; Key Specifications Revealed in TENAA Listing

Vivo, back in August, launched the Vivo Y35 smartphone. The brand might soon launch the 5G version of the Y-series smartphone – the Vivo Y35 5G. Recently a Vivo smartphone with the model number V2230A was spotted on the TENAA certification website. Now, a Chinese tipster has claimed that the Vivo V2230A will soon make a debut as the Vivo Y35 5G in the Chinese market. The TENAA listing for the Vivo V2230A revealed most of the key specifications of the device.

Going by the TENAA listing, the Vivo Y35 will offer a large display panel and a 13MP rear camera. The device will be powered by a 5000mAh battery unit and will support 18W fast charging. Let us take a closer look at the Vivo Y35 5G specifications.

Vivo Y35 5G: Specifications and Features

The Vivo Y35 5G will be equipped with a 6.51-inch LCD display with an HD+ (720 × 1600 pixel) resolution. In terms of the display, the Vivo Y35 5G variant appears to be a downgrade since the 4G variant of the device offers a Full HD+ resolution display.

As revealed in the device’s TENAA listing, the Vivo Y35 5G will be powered by a 5 G-enabled processor with a 2.2GHz peak frequency. The TENAA listing didn’t reveal anything about the chipset being used on the device. To those unaware, the Vivo Y35 (4G variant) is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor.

The Vivo Y35 5G will be equipped with a dual-rear camera setup as per the TENAA database listing. The primary shooter on the device will be a 13MP sensor which will be accompanied by a 2MP sensor. The smartphone will offer a 5MP shooter for video calls and selfies.

The Vivo Y35 5G will be backed by a 5000mAh battery unit as per the TENAA listing. Earlier, the 3C certification listing for the device had confirmed 18W fast charging support on the upcoming Y-series smartphone. The upcoming Y-series smartphone from Vivo will weigh about 186 grams and will measure 164.05 × 75.6 × 8.15mm.

The upcoming Y-series smartphone will come pre-loaded with Android 12 based OriginOS. It will feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner which might double as the power button. The TENAA listing suggests that the device will retail in four RAM variants – 4GB, 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB. Whereas, the company will provide users an option to choose between 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options.

Since the device has passed TENAA certification, we can expect it to launch soon in China. There is no confirmation on the device’s India and global availability yet. We will keep our readers posted in case the device makes an appearance on BIS or any other certification website.
