Vivo has been launching various smartphones under the Y series in China. The Chinese smartphone giant debuted the Vivo Y100i 5G smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC, which is an affordable variant of the Vivo Y100 5G smartphone. Vivo also launched the Vivo Y36 along with the Vivo Y100i 5G smartphone. Now, the company has announced the launch of the Vivo Y36i smartphone in China.
The newly launched Y36i is an affordable version of the Vivo Y36. Its specifications are similar to those of the Vivo Y36. Vivo has priced the newly launched Vivo Y36i smartphone under RMB 1,200 (approx. Rs 14,000).

The Y36i is available in Fantasy Purple, Galaxy Gold, and Deep Space Black colours. Vivo has launched the device in a lone variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The company has launched the device at RMB 1,199 (approx. Rs 13,950). The device will be available for sale in the Chinese online retailer websites.
Vivo Y36i: Features, Specifications
Vivo has equipped the smartphone with an LCD panel bearing HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. Under the hood, the device features the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset, built on a 7nm process. The chipset sports two Cortex A76 cores at 2.2GHz and six Cortex A55 cores at 2.0GHz. The chipset is paired with LPDRR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The budget offering from Vivo also sports virtual RAM expansion technology.
The device has a waterdrop notch to house the selfie camera and sports thick bezels around the display. At the rear, the Y36i has a rectangular camera island with a 13MP primary sensor and a secondary AI sensor. The phone runs Origin OS 3 based on Android 13 out of the box. Vivo might launch the smartphone in the Indian market under a different moniker to cater to offline demands.
