Vivo is gearing up for the launch of a new Y-series smartphone. The company has launched quite a few budget and mid-range Y-series smartphones in India. The most recent one was the Vivo Y21e, which was launched with a 5000 mAh battery and a Snapdragon 680 processor. The company is now launching another smartphone under its budget smartphone series in India. Our sources have informed us that the Vivo Y75 5G will launch later this month in India.

The company has not officially confirmed the launch date yet. Meanwhile, here’s everything we know about the Vivo Y75 5G specifications, features and other details ahead of the launch.

Vivo Y75 5G launch in India

Vivo will launch the Y75 5G later this month in India. Our sources from the industry did not reveal the official launch date of the Y75 5G. However, the phone is expected to arrive by the end of this month. It would not be a surprise if Vivo quietly announces the phone in India on January 26.

While we wait for the official confirmation, MySmartPrice has also learnt that the phone will draw power from a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. The choice of chipset also means that the device will come with support for 5G network – as mentioned in the moniker. The phone will also have a triple-camera setup on the back, according to our sources. However, the camera sensor specifications remain unknown at the moment. We can expect the phone to feature a 50MP main camera, if not a 48MP or a 64MP sensor.

Prior to its official announcement, the Y75 5G was spotted on multiple certification websites. The listing on Geekbench recently confirmed that the device draws power from a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. The phone could come with 8GB of RAM as well. That being said, Vivo could announce a 6GB RAM option of the device as well.

The budget 5G smartphone is likely to run Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12 out of the box. It could also feature a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. There is no word on the display and camera specs. However, we can expect the details to be available in the coming days. What are your thoughts on the upcoming Vivo smartphone?
