Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 12 series later last year in China. The company launched its three flagship Android smartphones – the Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X – in Europe earlier this year. Xiaomi 12 Pro is the only flagship smartphone from the series which is currently available in India. The company is gearing up to launch the Xiaomi 12 Ultra in China.

Xiaomi has confirmed that its new flagship smartphone will launch soon in its home country. The company has not yet confirmed the official launch date. Before Xiaomi reveals the Xiaomi 12 Ultra launch date, a new report has spilled the beans.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra Launch in First Week of July

Xiaomi 12 Ultra launch date will be officially announced in the coming days. A new report claims that the teasers will drop starting June 28. The TechGoing report claims that Xiaomi will start teasing the launch of its Ultra flagship on June 28.

It further claims that the device will debut in China on July 5. Since there is no track record to confirm the leak, it is advised to take the leaked details with a pinch of salt.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra will come with top-of-the-line specs. The company is expected to launch the phone with Leica-tuned cameras. It will draw power from a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

Design renders of the 12 Ultra have leaked in the past. The images reveal that Xiaomi will ditch the rear display on its new flagship and instead launch it with a huge camera module on the back. The circular camera module rests on top of the rectangular island.

The device is rumoured to feature a Sony IMX989 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultrawide camera and two periscope camera sensors. At the front, there will be a 6.6-inch curved AMOLED display with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. It will support a 120Hz refresh rate and sport very thin bezels.

There will be a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. Xiaomi will also pack a 5000 mAh battery and support up to 120W fast charging out of the box. More details of the 12 Ultra should surface as we get closer to the launch.
