Xiaomi is now rumoured to launch another flagship smartphone in various markets. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is tipped to launch soon. According to a new leak, the Chinese smartphone maker will make its Ultra flagship available in various markets.
Xiaomi has not confirmed any details about the same. However, some details about the phone have leaked online. Let’s take a look at the Xiaomi 13 Ultra specifications, launch timeline and other details known so far.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra Launch Timeline Tipped
Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be the company’s most premium offering for 2023. The phone is expected to officially launch in various markets later this year. A new leak suggests that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will launch in the second quarter of 2023. Tipster Ice Universe first revealed that the phone will launch in global markets. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra, which was launched last year in China, did not make it to global markets. This might be good news for Xiaomi fans and enthusiasts who want to try the company’s top-of-the-line offering.
The 13 Ultra is said to retain the design of the 12S Ultra, which has a DSLR camera lens-like camera module design. The 12S Ultra sported a huge circular camera module on the back with a golden ring around it. The rest of the rear panel had a faux leather finish which felt a lot similar to DSLR camera bodies.
Following tipster Ice Universe’s leak, another tipster, Snoopy Tech, revealed that the 13 Ultra will launch in May 2023.
Xiaomi has not confirmed any details about the same. Therefore, we advise taking the leaked details with a pinch of salt. The 13 Ultra live image was leaked online in the past. The alleged device reported online has a white covering but shows the camera module design, which is similar to what we mentioned above. The phone has a quad-camera setup. There is the Leica branding at the centre of the camera module. The phone also has what seems like a dual LED flash.
The leaked camera module design of the alleged 13 Ultra suggests that the phone will have a periscope camera. It might also get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC or possibly the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC if Qualcomm launches one. As expected, there will be a 1-inch Sony IMX989 50MP camera sensor.
The device is likely to launch with a 6.7-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will also have a curved-edge display with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. The phone will launch with Android 13 out of the box and have MIUI 14 on top. Xiaomi is expected to launch the phone in China first, followed by other markets.
