Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of its upcoming Xiaomi 14 Series. The latest flagships will be the first devices from the company to feature HyperOS, as confirmed by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun. The devices will also continue to use Leica-powered cameras on all models.
The Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro have now been spotted on Geekbench, with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The Xiaomi 14 Series will be officially launched in China on October 26.
Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro Spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
Two new Xiaomi devices have been spotted on Geekbench, with the model numbers Xiaomi 23127PN0CC and Xiaomi 23116PN5BC. As per IMEI Database records, the serial numbers match with the Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Pro respectively. The benchmark listing reveals that the Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, along with 16GB of RAM.
The Xiaomi 14 has scored 20% higher in multi-core performance, as compared to the Xiaomi 13. However, the single-core performance appears to be identical.
The Geekbench listing also reveals that the Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Pro will launch with Android 14, out of the box. These devices will also be the first phones from Xiaomi to feature HyperOS, which has replaced MIUI.
The Xiaomi 14 was also spotted on 3C certification last week. It showed that the device will feature 90W of wired fast charging. However, the records did not mention wireless charging. It is still an upgrade over the 67W charging on the Xiaomi 13 from last year.
Xiaomi 14 Series Launching in China on October 26
Xiaomi has posted a teaser on Weibo, confirming that the Xiaomi 14 Series will be officially launching in China on October 26. The event will also unveil more details about HyperOS, which is Xiaomi’s self-developed operating system.
As per previous reports, the Xiaomi 14 Series will have three devices, the Xiaomi 14, the Xiaomi 14 Pro, and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. All devices are expected to feature Leica-powered cameras, along with the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
Qualcomm will be announcing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, at the Snapdragon Summit scheduled for tomorrow, October 24. Hence, the Xiaomi 14 Series is possibly the first device in the world to launch with the Sndpragon 8 Gen 3.
Xiaomi 14 Series Expected Specifications and Features
Recently, the renders of the Xiaomi 14 Pro were leaked online. It showed that the device will feature a quad-camera setup, along with a slightly box-like design. The device was also spotted on 3C certification, which indicates that the Xiaomi 14 Pro is expected to feature a 4860mAh battery, with 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Apart from this, the Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Pro are expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, with a 144Hz refresh rate. Both devices will reportedly have flat screen displays, while the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is rumoured to have a curved screen display. The Xiaomi 14 Series could also feature Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support.
