Xiaomi, earlier this year, launched the Mi 11 Ultra in India. The flagship smartphone went on sale in India for the first time in limited quantities earlier this month. Customers who purchased the device will get a 55W fast charger in the box. This, despite the phone supporting 67W fast charging. Xiaomi had previously said that it is working on bringing the 67W fast charger to India. The wait seems to be over as the company has teased the launch of its charging brick in India. Xiaomi’s 67W charger is launching in India on July 12.

Xiaomi 67W fast charger

Xiaomi has confirmed that its 67W fast charger is launching soon in India. The charger is launching after the Mi 11 Ultra sale in India. The fast charging adapter comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 charging standards and built-in surge protection. It is claimed to charge a 5000 mAh battery in 36 minutes. This means that users who recently bought the Mi 11 Ultra can purchase this 67W brick to charge their device. The 55W charger shipped with the phone can fuel the 5000 mAh cell in roughly an hour’s time.

There is no official word on the pricing and availability details at the moment. Xiaomi’s event page is expected to unveil the sale details on July 12 when it launches in India.

Users who buy the Xiaomi 67W charger can not only charge their Mi 11 Ultra but also Redmi, POCO and other devices that support USB PD fast charging. The upcoming POCO F3 GT, which is rumoured to launch as a rebranded Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, is also likely to support 67W fast charging. It is currently unknown if POCO will pack the high-speed charger in the box. POCO could launch the device with 67W fast charging support but pack a comparatively slower charger in the box. The 67W fast charger, like the Mi 11 Ultra, could be offered as an additional accessory. We can expect more details as we get closer to the launch.
