
Xiaomi has launched a new series of Smart TVs today in-home country China. The company is calling them the Mi TV Lux 82-inch and the Mi TV Lux Ultra 82-inch. The USP of the Smart TVs is MEMC motion compensation technology and Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support. The Lux 82-inch model comes with 8K resolution support and 60Hz refresh rate and with 5G connectivity support. Xiaomi Mi TV Lux 82-inch and Lux Ultra 82-inch Price
The Mi TV Lux 82-inch 4K TV variant in China is priced at CNY 9,999 (approx. USD 1,465 or INR 1,08,155) and the TV is up for grabs starting today. The top-end model with 8K resolution is launched with a price tag of CNY 4,9999 (around USD 7,330 or INR 5,40,965) and it will be up for sale in China starting October 21st.
Mi TV Lux Ultra 82-inch Specification
The Mi TV Lux Ultra is the first 8K resolution smart TV from the brand. It flaunts an 82-inch 8K OLED display with a 178-degree viewing angle. It comes with a 98 percent DCI-P3 Color Gamut with 2000 nits peak brightness and 1400000:1 contrast ratio. The OLED panel also supports HDR 10+, MEMC, and Dolby Vision.
Under the hood, the smart TV is powered by the quad-core Novatek 72685 chipset, clubbed with Mali G51 MP4 GPU and 5G connectivity support. The Lux Ultra is backed by a 4GB RAM and 256GB storage. It features a retractable soundbar on the sides which consist of eight speaker units for the better audio experience.
Users also receive features live Automatic low latency mode (ALLM), DC dimming, variable refresh rate (VRR) avoids picture delays, tears, and freezes. It runs on Xiaomi’s custom user interface Patchwall. On the connectivity part, it offers WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, 3 x HDMI 2.1 (including HDMI eARC), 2 x USB, S/PDIF, and Ethernet port.
Mi TV Lux 82-inch Specification
The Mi TV Lux 82-inch, on the other hand, offers 82-inch 4K OLED display with HDR10+ support and 178-degree viewing angle. It comes with 93% DCI-P3 Color Gamut, 1000 nits peak brightness and 1400000:1 contrast ratio. The Mi TV Lux draws power from the quad-core Cortex A73 MediaTek MT9650 processor with Mali-G52 MC1 GPU. This model didn’t offer 5G connectivity.
It comes with features like automatic low latency mode (ALLM), variable refresh rate (VRR) avoids picture delays, tears, and freezes. The Smart TV is backed by 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and runs on Patchwall.
