Xiaomi is rumoured to bring several improvements to the upcoming Pad 7 series tablets. Xiaomi Pad 7 series is expected to include the basic Xiaomi Pad 7 and Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro tablets. But latest leaks indicate, Xiaomi has plans for a third tablet as well. Tipster Digital Chat Station has shared some key information regarding the forthcoming tablets in a new post on Weibo, the Chinese social networking platform. Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro Expected Specifications
The tipster reiterates that Xiaomi will equip the Pro variant of the upcoming generation tablet with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The chipset is fabricated on TSMC’s 4nm process and sports one Cortex X3 at 3.2GHz, two Cortex A715 cores at 2.8GHz, three Cortex A510 cores at 2.0GHz, and an Adreno 740 GPU.
The tipster also claims that the Pro variant will not come a 10-inch IPS panel, but instead get a bigger IPS panel. The refresh rate will likely remain 144Hz. The inclusion of an upsized IPS panel contradicts the previous leaks suggesting the continuation of a 10-inch panel on the Pro variant.
The tipster also reveals that the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro will sport a screen with slimmer bezels and an improved design. The base tablet will get a camera module design similar to the Xiaomi 14 series smartphones. The upcoming tablets will debut with HyperOS based on Android 14 out of the box.
Digital Chat Station also adds that Xiaomi is reportedly working on a new tablet with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The tipster hints that Xiaomi will likely equip this particular tablet with an OLED panel. The upcoming tablet could be called the Xiaomi Pad 7 Max, and make its debut in Q3 of 2024.
Xiaomi is expected to launch the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro tablets alongside the Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone later this year. A previous report stated that the Pro variant of the upcoming Xiaomi tablet will sport a 10000mAh battery. Xiaomi will equip the Pro variant with support for 120W wired fast charging. The Chinese technology giant is also rumoured to include quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support on the Pro tablet.
