Redmi Note 6 Pro

The recently launched Redmi Note 6 Pro is now receiving a new MIUI 10 stable update. The new OTA updates the device to the latest MIUI 10.0.5.0.OEKMIFH version. As mentioned earlier, the update brings some improvements and fixes various annoying bugs. Although, Xiaomi is rolling out this update to some limited number of devices. The company will soon go with a wider roll-out, if no major issue is reported. If you haven’t received any update notification, then you can manually check via System Update option in the Settings app. If manually checking doesn’t work for you, then you might have to wait for the wider roll-out.

Coming to the changelog, it only mentions two major bug fixes. Previously, various users reported a bug that displays carrier name even when there is no SIM card installed. This major bug is now fixed along with the system crash which was occurring randomly. Sadly, the update still uses the October 2018 security patch. The changelog does not list any other major improvements. Apart from that, no Redmi Note 6 Pro users have reported any serious issue with the update as of now. You can go ahead and update your smartphone if you want to. For those who’re unaware, Xiaomi previously added some editing tools for adding effects like studio lighting, blur effects and light trails to its Camera and Gallery app.

Xiaomi is clearly giving some extra attention to its Redmi Note 6 Pro which users are enjoying a lot. With new updates, the smartphone maker is adding new features and fixing the old ones. Even though the changelog lists two fixes only, there is a chance that various other small bugs might have been fixed in this update.
