Xiaomi Smart Speaker

Xiaomi is celebrating its 8 years in India and the company has quietly launched a new smart speaker in the country. The new smart speaker from the smartphone company comes with an IR blaster, which is powered by Google Assistant. The product is a successor to the first-generation Xiaomi speaker launched in 2020.

In terms of design, the new Xiaomi Smart Speaker with an IR blaster looks fairly similar to the 1st-gen model with some tweaks here and there. The addition of the IR blaster, coupled with Google Assistant support, lets users control their TV. Let’s take a look at the Xiaomi smart speaker price in India, features and other details.

Xiaomi Smart Speaker India Price

Xiaomi has launched its new smart speaker in India with an IR blaster. The smart speaker is an upgrade over the 2020 model and is priced at Rs 4,999. The device has a 1.5-inch full-range speaker and far-field microphones in it. The microphones enable access to various tasks by invoking the Google Assistant through your voice. Users can also use the speaker’s IR blaster to control any compatible smart device in their home via the Xiaomi Home app on their smartphones.

Xiaomi has also added an LED clock in the new speaker, allowing users to use the speaker unit as a desk clock too. The LED clock is smart enough to get dim when put to DND mode and automatically changes the brightness levels depending on the ambient light.

The smart speaker features a built-in Chromecast that enables users to cast media to other compatible devices. There are four physical buttons at the top of the speaker for controlling volume, playback and the microphone.

Xiaomi’s smart speaker weighs about 628 grams and measures 95x95x14mm. It is available in a single Black colour option. Customers can get their hands on the new Xiaomi speaker at Mi Home Stores, Mi.com, and Flipkart.
