The Vivo V50 feels like a familiar sequel - similar to the Vivo V40 but with some fresh upgrades. Vivo's "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach works here. While not a radical change, the V50 surprised with its sleek design and solid improvements. The display and build feel premium, and though I feared dropping it due to the glossy/matte finish, I didn't have to test my luck. ZEISS cameras improve photo quality, and at Rs 34,999, it's a good deal for photography. Battery life easily lasts over a day and a half with heavy use. If you're on the Vivo V40, skip the upgrade. But if your phone's older, the V50 is a strong choice - just don't expect mind-blowing performance.

Should you buy the Samsung Galaxy A36 in 2025? Samsung has given it a fresh design, finally setting it apart from the flagship S series. Some may call it a downgrade, but honestly, it was time for the A-series to have its own identity. The camera module is oddly charming, and the sleeker form factor is a welcome upgrade. For daily use, it's smooth, reliable, and fuss-free. But if gaming is your priority, the Realme GT 6 or OnePlus 12R would be better picks. The cameras deliver sharp shots in most conditions, though image processing can be hit or miss. Overall, it's a solid choice for those who want longevity, a clean software experience, and a slim design - if only Samsung had been a bit more generous with the pricing.

The Realme GT 6 packs numerous features, such as AI enhancements for improved efficiency, a reliable telephoto camera, a stunning curved display with a peak brightness of 6000 nits, and a robust chipset that delivers strong performance. The Vivo V40 is a nice all-rounder phone, which happens to be a looker and has a good set of cameras. The phone's battery life is exceptionally good and if the bloatware apps don't feel like a hindrance, the phone is safely a good choice for a starting price of Rs 34,999.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE offers impressive specifications such as an AMOLED 120Hz display, a triple-camera setup, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The primary 50MP sensor on the device captures excellent images. Also, the Exynos 2200 equipped with the device offers good performance. However, the phone has a slow charging speed and it doesn't come with a charger. Overall, the S23 FE is a good option if you are looking for a clean software experience, good cameras, and great performance.

The OnePlus 11R is an excellent choice for everyday users. The reliable battery, striking display, and other features make it a good package. However, if you do gaming a lot, the iQOO 9T would be a better choice. The primary camera of the OnePlus 11R is also great, but the ultra-wide-angle camera could have been slightly better.

The iQOO Neo 9 Pro boasts a unique back design with a vibrant colour and a premium touch, thanks to the vegan leather finish. The phone features a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring a smooth and fluid user experience. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the Neo 9 Pro handles everything from everyday tasks to heavy gaming seamlessly. It runs demanding games like BGMI, Call of Duty: Mobile, and Genshin Impact without overheating, even after extended play. Running on FunTouchOS 14 based on Android 14, the device offers extensive customisation options and minimal pre-installed apps. Any bloatware present can be easily removed. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Daylight photos are sharp and detailed, while the ultra-wide shots are decent but lack finer details. The 16MP front camera captures satisfactory selfies. The iQOO Neo 9 Pro comes with a 5160mAh battery and a 120W fast charger, taking just 35 minutes for a full charge, which is highly convenient. If you're in the market for a versatile smartphone with a few minor compromises, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro is an excellent choice.

The V30 Pro is a camera-centric phone with a 50-megapixel trio at the back. Its sleek design and decent battery life are notable, though faster charging options are available elsewhere. While not the best for intense gaming, it handles casual games without any issues. Consider alternatives like the OnePlus 12R or iQOO Neo 9 Pro for gaming, but stick with the V30 Pro if photography is your priority.

At a starting price of Rs 66,999 (8GB RAM + 128GB storage), the OnePlus 10 Pro goes up against a host of premium devices in India. It brings a lot to the table - Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, 80W fast charging support and the adapter ships with the phone, 6.7-inch QHD+ display, and 48-megapixel triple camera setup. Not to forget, the OxygenOS is here to stay and is a popular Android skin. Some of the biggest strengths of the device are its performance, display, battery, and primary camera are among the best out there. Unfortunately, we can't say that for all sensors. The ultra-wide camera, in particular, doesn't impress. But, then, the missing IP rating is slightly a heartbreak. It's a feature that is always good to have. Not to forget, OnePlus will also need to tighten its update cycle for both OS and security updates. We also think that it's about time that OnePlus starts shipping a 512GB storage variant with its flagship phones.

If you're deeply involved in content creation and rely heavily on your camera, whether front or back, then the Vivo V29 might be a good choice for you. The V29 features a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth camera. It delivers social media-ready photos with a closer to reality colours. However, it may struggle in low-light conditions. For those seeking a device for everyday tasks like watching videos and using social media, the AMOLED 3D curved display offers a satisfying solution. While the phone's design is undeniably stunning, slapping a case to the back is advisable to prevent accidental slips from your hands. Performance-wise, the Vivo V29 utilises the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, which some may consider outdated. Therefore, if top-notch performance is your primary concern, you might want to consider the iQOO Neo 9 Pro or the OnePlus 12R.

The Google Pixel 7 features a 6.3-inch FHD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of 60Hz to 90Hz. The display offers vibrant colours and a pleasant viewing experience. The Pixel 7 has a solid build quality, though it can become uncomfortable to hold after long periods. The stereo speakers deliver excellent volume and clarity. In terms of cameras, the Pixel 7 includes a 50MP wide camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera on the back, and a 10.8MP selfie camera on the front. The camera app offers a variety of features, including Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Cinematic Blur. The image quality of the wide camera is impressive, but the ultra-wide camera's results are too narrow compared to other smartphones. The Pixel 7 is powered by the Tensor G2 SoC, which handles everyday tasks smoothly. However, extended gaming sessions can cause the back panel to heat up. The phone has a 4355mAh battery, smaller than the Pixel 6's. It runs on Android 13 out of the box and will be among the first to receive the Android 14 update. The software provides a stock Android experience with excellent features. If you're looking for a flagship device with good cameras, great features, a stock Android experience, and reliable performance for daily tasks, the Pixel 7 is an excellent choice.

The Vivo V27 looks aesthetically pleasing and is UV-reactive, changing the colours under glaring sunlight. When indoors, it returns to its normal colour. It changes colours like a chameleon. The device boasts a 6.78-inch, curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is highly responsive and buttery smooth. However, this phone lacks stereo speakers, which can be a dealbreaker for many. The phone features a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC, which performs well in day-to-day usage. Gaming on this phone is also good, but you may notice occasional lags and stutters when playing intensive games. The phone packs a 4600mAh battery and comes with a 66W charging adapter. The charging speeds are decent. The Vivo V27 runs on FunTouchOS 13, based on Android 13, which comes with bloatware. The V27 offers good customisation options for the home screen and lock screen. At the rear, there's a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP super macro camera. On the front, there's a 50MP camera with autofocus for selfies. The main camera on this phone is brilliant; however, the ultra-wide and super macro cameras need some improvement. The front camera clicks selfies that can be posted on social media without any editing. Therefore, if you're in the market for an aesthetically pleasing device that changes colours like a chameleon, and you want an awesome battery with great cameras, then the Vivo V27 stands as an ideal choice.

The Vivo V29 Pro is a camera powerhouse, tailor-made for content creators and photo buffs. But it's not just about the camera - it rocks a premium look without breaking the bank. The Pro version boasts a slick 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate, perfect for binge-watching or scrolling through your feed. Plus, no bleeding colours at the edges, although it could use a tad more brightness in sunlight. On the camera front, the V29 Pro packs a punch with a 50MP primary, a 12MP portrait, and 8MP ultra-wide shooters on the rear, complemented by a sharp 50MP selfie camera. Expect true-to-life images without over-processing. Performance-wise, the phone houses the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC, handling everyday tasks with ease, from gaming to multitasking, all without any hiccups. And with a rather decent 4600mAh battery, you'll go all day without a hitch. Oh, and say goodbye to bloatware - FunTouch 13 based on Android 13 lets you declutter your phone. If you prioritise top-notch camera capabilities, exceptional battery life, and a curved display, the Vivo V29 Pro is a must-have.

The Galaxy Note 10 Plus is among the best high-end phones you can buy right now. Apart from the missing headphone jack, there's nothing else that I could think of, being particularly bad on the phone. It has an eye-catching design, it feels thinner than it actually is, and it has the best display in the smartphone business, as of 2019. The Exynos 9825 brings speed and smoothness, and One UI is one of the nicest feeling software in the business. All four cameras on the phone are excellent. While the Note 10 Plus can't quite reach the level and clarity of the P30 Pro's camera in low-light conditions, it more than makes up for it in the video recording capability. The phone has dozens of useful features, including Samsung Pay and water resistance. Battery life is good, too, but not among the best in the business. All-in-all, it is one of the best phones released in 2019.

Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G comes with a 6.5-inch AMOLED display. The device performance is handled by a Snapdragon 750G SoC. The device can take some good images, thanks to a 64MP quad-camera setup. The phone however only offers 15W fast charging. Additionally, the device is costlier. In less than Rs 35,000 price point, the OnePlus Nord 2 and the Realme GT Master Edition 5G offer some excellent specs when compared to the Galaxy A52s 5G.

Vivo X70 Pro is another hard-core performance device from the company. It comes powered by Dimensity 1200 chipset with 8GB RAM and it has quality cameras at the back that offer decent results. The AMOLED 120Hz display is a treat for most eyes, and the design will appeal to you as well. Having said that, this phone lacks a memory card slot, doesn't get headphone jack and the battery life suffers in general. If you are in the market, definitely consider this one.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE features a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, providing a pleasing viewing experience. Powered by the Exynos 2100 SoC, the phone performs admirably. Games like BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile run smoothly, adding to the entertainment value. The stereo speakers on the S21 FE produce excellent sound quality, which is a bonus. In terms of battery life, the phone houses a 4500mAh battery, lasting almost a day with light to moderate usage. Regarding the cameras, there's a 12MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera on the rear. For selfies, there's a 32MP front-facing camera. Daylight shots are vibrant and detailed, but the ultra-wide camera lacks autofocus. The selfie camera captures natural photos with consistent skin tones. Low-light photography on this device brightens images, sometimes excessively. Overall, the Galaxy S21 FE ticks most boxes with a few drawbacks. If you're looking for a smartphone with solid performance, a premium design, and excellent battery life, then the S21 FE is worth considering.

Vivo X60 is the successor to the X50 from 2020. And the new model gets a host of improvements, including the new Snapdragon 870 chipset in tow. The phone comes with dynamic and capable cameras on both the sides. With 8GB RAM you get multi-tasking done without any hiccups and the battery supports fast charging. Running on Android 11 makes it one of the first to get the latest version. However, the phone misses out on headphone jack and memory slot. Slightly expensive for the overall package in the market.
