Nothing Flags Rise In Counterfeit Products With India-Focused Awareness Campaign

Nothing has released a new awareness video highlighting the growing issue of counterfeit Nothing and CMF by Nothing products in India, following recent enforcement action that led to the seizure of over 1,100 fake chargers and earbuds in Delhi.

The development comes amid a wider crackdown on counterfeit electronics, with Nothing confirming that the seizures were carried out in coordination with Delhi Police as part of its ongoing efforts to curb the circulation of fake accessories in the market.

Consumer Risk And Brand Impact

In the awareness video, Akis Evangelidis, Co-founder and India President at Nothing, addresses the scale of the counterfeit problem and the risks it poses to consumers. He points out that fake chargers and earbuds not only compromise performance and durability but can also raise safety concerns, particularly when used with high-power smartphones and accessories.

Nothing said it is continuing to work closely with law enforcement agencies to identify supply chains behind counterfeit products and take action against sellers attempting to pass off fake accessories as genuine.

Enforcement Action And Ongoing Measures

The company noted that the recent seizure in Delhi is part of a broader enforcement push, and that it will continue monitoring offline and online channels to prevent counterfeit products from reaching consumers. Nothing also urged buyers to purchase accessories only through authorised retailers and official online platforms to avoid falling prey to fake listings.

The awareness video is aimed at educating consumers on how to identify genuine Nothing and CMF products, while reinforcing the importance of verified sales channels.

India Momentum And Market Context

This campaign comes at a time when Nothing’s presence in India is expanding rapidly. The brand recently opened its Bengaluru flagship store, which saw more than 2,000 visitors during its early days, underlining growing offline interest in the brand. During our interaction, Nothing said Bengaluru was chosen for its first experience store due to the strength and size of its local community.

According to IDC, Nothing also emerged as one of the fastest-growing smartphone brands in India in 2025, adding further urgency to the company’s efforts to protect consumers and brand trust as its scale increases.

With its latest awareness push, Nothing is positioning counterfeit control as a necessary step alongside retail expansion and portfolio growth, as the brand looks to deepen its footprint in the Indian smartphone and accessories market.
