Kodak has entered the Mini LED television segment in India with the launch of its first Mini QD TV, marking a step up from the brand's value-oriented 4K lineup into the more premium large-screen category. The new TV is available in a single 65-inch size and is priced at Rs 54,999, positioning it aggressively against entry-level Mini LED and premium QLED offerings currently available online.
The highlight of Kodak's new Mini LED TV is its focus on both brightness and audio output. The Mini QD panel delivers up to 1500 nits of peak brightness with a claimed contrast ratio of 100000:1, alongside Quantum Dot colour technology capable of producing over 1.1 billion colours. Support for Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG is included, which places the TV in line with newer premium streaming standards.
Audio is a clear differentiator here. Unlike most TVs in this price range that rely on 20W to 40W speaker systems, Kodak has equipped the TV with six built-in speakers delivering a combined 108W output. This includes dedicated sub-woofers and sky speakers, with support for Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital Plus. For users who want room-filling sound without immediately investing in a soundbar, this could be a practical advantage.
On the smart TV side, the Mini LED TV runs on the Google TV platform, offering access to over 10,000 apps, including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Apple TV, and more. The TV is powered by a MediaTek processor paired with a Mali-G52 GPU, along with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.
