Realme will announce its new Realme UI 3.0 this month. Though earlier, I speculated that Realme could try to get out of Oppo’s shadow, some screenshots of Realme UI 3.0 now show the exact opposite. Realme is currently running the Android 12 Early Access program for Realme GT 5G in China. A participant from there is said to have leaked screenshots.

Till now, six screenshots have appeared online, posted on Weibo. The screenshots show the design language, similar to ColorOS 12, just like how the previous versions of Realme UI were based on ColorOS 11 and ColorOS 7.

However, it’s not all ColorOS 12 with no changes. Realme UI 3.0 gets to have different icons and new widgets, which they call Quick View Cards. There are floating windows and a new redesigned Quick Settings.

Realme UI was never as distinct as Oxygen OS, but the screenshots now prove that it is closer to ColorOS. However, one of the screenshots clearly mentions Realme UI 2.1 Beta, so the final build may not be exactly the same as it looks in these screenshots. But, we’re not that optimistic, going by Realme’s reputation in terms of bragging and doing the exact opposite of what they claim.

However, as we had earlier mentioned, Realme GT and many other eligible Realme devices will get the Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12. Realme GT is probably the first device to get the update first, but that is not clear yet.

Realme GT Neo 2 is also expected to arrive in India soon. However, even before the official announcement of the launch, details regarding RAM, storage, colour variants of Realme GT Neo 2 for India have leaked. The phone may launch in India running the latest software out of the box. Also, it remains to be seen whether the phone comes with NFC in India or not.
