The Cupertino tech-giant – Apple is long rumoured to be working on a foldable device. Recently, renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that Apple is working on a foldable MacBook and is aiming to release it by 2027. Now, in a new development, Revegnus claims that Apple’s first foldable product set will be released in 2026.

Contrary to claims that recently surfaced claiming that Apple will not mass-produce foldable iPhones until 2026, Revegnus says that the company is aiming to release of its foldable iPhone in 2026, which is later than what company expected. To those unaware, foldable iPhones were earlier rumoured to hit market by 2025.

Citing a unnamed senior Apple official, the tipster claims that the foldable iPhone will be thinner and lighter compared to the competitors. Further it is claimed that Apple is aiming to get rid of the crease mark on its foldable which is something that no foldable device has achieved so far.

The tipster also suggests that Apple will incorporate cutting edge technologies on its first foldable iPhone which will differentiate its product from the competition as the other competitors have first mover advantage in the market. To those unaware, tech-giants like Samsung have been doing foldable since 2019 and has already released five iterations of its Flip and Fold foldables.

Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone is rumoured ton feature a clamshell form-factor and could be similar to Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, OPPO Find N3 Flip, and Moto Razr 40 Ultra. It remains to be seen how well Apple hides the crease on its upcoming foldable given that no company has been able to do it very well.
