Apple Vision Pro Goes On Sale in US, Over 600 ‘Built-For Vision Pro’ Apps Announced

The Apple Vision Pro finally goes on sale after being announced at WWDC, which took place back in June 2023. Apple officially announced the sale and pre-booking dates last month, after rumours started surfacing that official launch was delayed. However, the Vision Pro is here and can be ordered in the US starting today. Apple has also announced 600 specifically developed for the Vision Pro.

Interested buyers of Vision Pro can purchase the mixed-reality headset from the official Apple website in the US. It has been listed in three variants – 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Prices of all three variants are listed below.

Apple is offering the Vision Pro with Light Seal, Light Seal Cushion, Solo Knit Band, Dual Loop Band, Cover, Battery, Polishing Cloth, and 30W USB-C power adapter with USB-C cable in the box. The brand previously announced ZEISS lenses including ZEISS Optical Inserts — Readers for $99 (~Rs 8,200) and ZEISS Optical Inserts — Prescription for $149 (~Rs 12,500). However, these are currently not listed on the official website.

Apple Vision Pro’s App Support System

Apple has officially announced the availability of apps for the headset. According to the official blog post, Vision Pro users will have access to more than 1 million compatible apps available on the App Store. Additionally, Apple also announced that over 600 spatial apps and games to take advantage of the Vision Pro hardware will also be available to download from February 2.

For sports fans, apps like PGA Tour Vision and NBA will offer content on a 100-foot screen enabled by ultra-high-resolution displays for each eye. Other sports and entertainment apps include Red Bull TV, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, Apple TV, Disney+ Hotstar, Discovery Max, ESPN, CBS, Paramount+, NBC, NBC Sports, Peacock, FOX Sports, and the UFC.

Apart from these, there are productivity apps like MindNode, OmniFocus, OmniPlan, JigSpace, Microsoft 365 productivity apps, Fantastical, and Numerics. These apps are designed to make work and productivity tasks immersive and stunning.

Apple Arcade will also offer a catalogue of over 250 games designed for Vision Pro for an immersive gaming experience. These games include Game Room, WHAT THE GOLF?, Cut the Rope 3, Jetpack Joyride 2, Bloons TD 6+, stitch., Patterned, Illustrated, Super Fruit Ninja, and Wylde Flowers, among others. Other apps include Hold the World, CARROT Weather, Sky Guide, and more.
