Hisense has opened its first Product Experience Centre in India alongside a new headquarters at AIPL Masterpiece in Gurugram. The centre brings together the company's current and upcoming televisions, air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators and other home appliances, along with Toshiba's television portfolio.
The opening comes as Hisense looks to expand beyond televisions and establish itself as a multi-category consumer appliances brand in India. Several upcoming products, including refrigerators, front-load washing machines, dishwashers, microwave ovens and air fryers, are being showcased at the centre ahead of their phased introduction in the country.
Hisense Experience Centre Products and Technologies
The Product Experience Centre showcases Hisense's latest television technologies, including its RGB MiniLED and Laser TV ranges. Flagship products on display include the Hisense UX RGB MiniLED series in 100-inch and 116-inch sizes, alongside the 85-inch Toshiba 85ZXSP television.
Hisense has also displayed its Intelli Cool Pro air conditioners and its recently introduced top-load and semi-automatic washing machines. Bringing these categories together is intended to give retail partners and other stakeholders a clearer view of the company's growing India portfolio.
The company has not clarified whether the centre will be open to walk-in consumers, require prior appointments or sell products directly. Details regarding operating hours and the complete visitor experience are also awaited.
Upcoming Refrigerators, Washing Machines and Kitchen Appliances
The Experience Centre provides an early look at several products that Hisense plans to bring to India. The upcoming portfolio includes smart-screen and double-door refrigerators, front-load washing machines and the Triple Drum X-Zone Master washing machine.
Hisense is also preparing to introduce HVAC products, dishwashers and small domestic appliances such as microwave ovens and air fryers. The products will be launched in phases, although the company has not announced model-wise launch dates, prices or availability details.
The planned additions indicate that Hisense wants to build a much wider appliances business in India instead of remaining primarily associated with large-screen televisions. Refrigerators, washing machines and kitchen appliances will also put the company in competition with brands that already have established retail, service and manufacturing networks across the country.
New Gurugram Headquarters Supports India Expansion
Hisense has inaugurated its new India headquarters at AIPL Masterpiece in Gurugram alongside the Experience Centre. The new office will support the company's expanding product, retail and localisation operations in the country.
Pankaj Rana, CEO of Hisense India, said the centre represents an important milestone in the company's India journey. He added that Hisense is expanding beyond televisions with a wider retail presence, growing product portfolio and increased localisation.
The centre will also allow Hisense to showcase products that are already available alongside those being considered for India over the coming months. It can therefore serve as a demonstration and partner-engagement space as the company prepares to enter more appliance categories.
Offline Retail Expected to Drive 70% of Hisense India Business
Hisense is expanding its physical retail presence through partners including Reliance Digital, myG, Nandilath, Sonovision, Khosla Electronics, Patra Electronics, Sathya Agencies and Great Eastern Retail. Its products will continue to be available online through Amazon, Flipkart and other platforms.
Offline channels are expected to contribute nearly 70% of Hisense India's business this year. The company is targeting an increase in sales from $100 million to $150 million in CY2026, with the festive season expected to provide further momentum.
The emphasis on physical retail is particularly important for large appliances. Consumers often want to examine a television's picture quality, understand the usable space inside a refrigerator or inspect a washing machine's drum and controls before making a purchase. Experience centres can help demonstrate these features, but wider adoption will still depend on how quickly the products reach regular multi-brand retail stores.
Hisense Expands Local Manufacturing in India
Hisense opened its first Indian manufacturing facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, in February 2026. The facility currently manufactures washing machines and air conditioners.
The company plans to increase local manufacturing and develop products around the requirements of Indian households. Hisense has not disclosed which models are currently being manufactured at the facility or the percentage of locally sourced components used in these products.
Local production could help the company respond more quickly to demand, manage pricing and expand its appliance portfolio. Its impact will become clearer as Hisense introduces refrigerators, front-load washing machines and other planned categories in India.
Physical Retail Will Be Critical to Hisense's Multi-Category Ambitions
Hisense may have a wide global appliance portfolio, but its visibility in India has so far been stronger in televisions. The new Experience Centre, headquarters and manufacturing facility indicate that the company now wants to build a more substantial presence across large and small home appliances.
An Experience Centre can help Hisense demonstrate products that may be difficult to explain through online listings alone. It can also give retailers and channel partners greater familiarity with new technologies before the products reach stores.
The larger challenge will be converting this showcase into wider consumer adoption. India's television and home-appliance markets already have brands with deeper offline reach, service networks and stronger recall across multiple categories. Hisense will need competitive pricing, timely launches, reliable after-sales support and consistent availability to build beyond its television business.
Since offline retail is expected to account for nearly 70% of its business, the success of this expansion will depend less on a single experience centre and more on how effectively Hisense takes the same product experience to stores across the country.
