Fans of the original Naruto series think Boruto has the potential to be a fantastic continuation. Naruto was indeed a class apart and will forever remain one of the best anime to exist. Since they had to keep the distance between the manga and the anime, Boruto is now said to contain a lot of filler episodes. We have prepared this comprehensive filler guide for you in the meantime, should you decide to watch the Boruto anime. Feel free to refer to this Boruto Filler List in case you want to skip the fillers altogether or enjoy the extra episodes just in case.

Academy Entrance Arc

“Daburi no Kiki,” episode 16 of Season 1, marked the start of the first Boruto filler storyline. Denki’s battle to pass the academy’s Ninjutsu test is followed in this. As a favour to her mother, Sarada brings a stuffed animal to a youngster in the hospital in the second episode, only to abandon the toy on a train. The complex characterizations in these two episodes, although they are from the original manga, are far more engaging than many ridiculous anime filler episodes. You can skip these two episodes but you can also watch them just for fun.

Genin Mission Arc

Boruto’s second two-episode fillers are included in this Arc. Boruto, Mitsuki, and Sarada are assigned to accompany Kiri, a wealthy woman, to Green Banks for her first mission as new members of Team 7. They encounter a renegade ninja who kidnaps Kiri and requires a daring rescue effort. Although it’s completely optional, the way the team members cooperate to heal Boruto’s wounds, watch out for one another, and keep Kiri from dying is a powerful example of the fearless sacrifices the new Team 7 is prepared to make.

Byakuya Gang Arc

Three filler episodes featuring an interview with Boruto for a genin documentary break up the Byakuya Gang Arc. As Team 15 is entrusted with rescuing animals that have escaped from a zoo, the filler arc reaches a bleak point. The team of Genin talks about how they will use their experience to pass the Chunin Exams as the filler storyline comes to a close. Of the filler arc, Konohamaru’s plot is by far the most interesting. This storyline demonstrates his leadership and compassion in a real way.

Cho-Cho Arc

The three-episode Cho-Cho Arc features Team 7 and Team 10 cooperating to shield actors from alleged death threats. It is perhaps the most absurd filler storyline in Boruto history. Cho-Cho had to assist in the kidnapping and rescue of Tomaru after being made to pretend to be an actor. The angle of these episodes did not seem to attract the viewers even a tiny bit. These filler episodes don’t have many admirers, and viewers recommend skipping them altogether.

Naruto Shinden Arc

The Naruto Shinden plot serves as the backdrop for the next Boruto filler arc. As Namida thinks that her Jutsu is becoming a burden, the first episode’s plot revolves around her attempts to learn a powerful new Jutsu. To please his father, Shikadai runs for political office in the second section. While the short-filler storyline gains momentum in each subsequent episode, it does not significantly contribute to the underlying narrative of Masashi Kishimoto’s original manga. It’s encouraging to see how much Shikadai has carried on his father’s legacy but Team 10’s accomplishments pale in comparison to those of Team 7.

Konoha Shinden, Konohamaru And Remon Arc

The Konoha Shinden Arc, Konahamaru Arc, and Remon Arc are all connected by this Boruto filler arc. While the eight filler episodes end with a bang, the uninspiring sequence of stories went on much too long. They had far too many pointless missions, like gathering Ninja cards and handling complaints from the post office. Before returning to its original course, this filler arc concludes with three outstanding, intense episodes. The plot’s unexpected turn at the end, when Boruto and Konohamaru’s valiant endeavour to save the day is ultimately unsuccessful because they arrive at the wedding too late, is entertaining.

Time Slip Arc

After much emotional character development that culminates with Naruto referring to Hisashi as his father, Boruto struggles with what gift to give his grandfather as Hisashi’s birthday draws near. A pleasant way in which the Time Slip concept is reinforced is by Boruto’s heartfelt introspection on his history and his maturity throughout time as he grows and matures. The subsequent filler episodes in the arc leave a lot to be liked, as they centre on Team 4 and Team 10.

Mujina Bandits Arc

Sarada, Tsubaki, Himawari, and other students display anxiety about their academic studies in these filler episodes. While Team 7’s search for the enigmatic “Rainy Day Killer” is undoubtedly the highlight, Cho-Cho and Anko’s attempt to apprehend Azuki bean thieves is the low point. This arc is more fragmented and disconnected than most. Mujina Band filler Arc appears to be mundane and should gladly be skipped to maintain the right flow of watching Boruto.

Great Sea Battle Of Kirigakure Arc

The Great Sea Battle of Kirigakure plot consists of two distinct filler segments. In the first, following a heist, Tsubaki gets revenge on a samurai she once trained. Along with showing Denki’s newfound captaincy over Team 5, the first arc also shows his misgivings when assigned a B-Rank mission that involves delivering puppets to miners at sea. The Great Sea Battle of Kirigakure Arc is so vast that the filler arc often gets overlooked and many other important characters steal this arc’s thunder.

Great Sea Battle Of Kirigakure Arc

Eventually, in the Great Sea Battle of Kirigakure Arc, there is a last filler arc for Boruto. The arc reaches its pinnacle when Naruto’s family vacation is disrupted by his impending filming schedule, following a sluggish beginning in which Cho-Cho and Inojin exact revenge on the owner of a ramen shop. The fun breaks out when Konohamaru offers to take Naruto’s place in a soothing hot spring. Naruto finds himself split between choosing to spend important time with his family and advancing his reputation by appearing in the next Kagemasa movie.
