There have been a lot of rumours and leaks and the most recent information talks about the Pixel Fold 2’s design. Android Authority has exclusively revealed the hands-on images of the forthcoming foldable device.

The hands-on images (shared by an anonymous source) are of the prototype of the Pixel Fold 2. It is suggested that Google will skip the visor-like camera module with the forthcoming foldable smartphone. It could sport a rectangular camera island with rounded edges. The camera island will be placed at the top left of the smartphone and will sport a quad-cameras and an LED flash. Check it out below.

Rumours also suggest that Google could equip the smartphone with a temperature sensor like the Pixel 8 Pro smartphone. The prototype pictures confirm that Google will equip the foldable smartphone with a narrower cover screen, which could be similar to the OnePlus Open’s form factor.

The source adds that Google will debut the smartphone with a square-shaped inner-screen aspect ratio. The phone could have more rounded inner and outer displays and could have a more premium aluminium build.

The Pixel Fold 2 is still in the Engineering Validation Test (EVT) stage, hinting that the design might change in the final stage of the product stage. There’s no word on when it will debut but a May launch appears unlikely. It could tag along with the Pixel 9 series.
