The Honor 90 5G makes its entry into the high-mid-range segment where the competition is fierce and able to justify paying a premium for phones. Honor 90 5G has quite a few rivals but over here we are pitting it against the OnePlus Nord 3 and the power-packed iQOO Neo 7 Pro. Both of them are priced in the same range as the Honor 90 5G but when you take a closer look at the features, the story is slightly different.

Honor 90 5G vs OnePlus Nord 3 vs iQOO Neo 7 Pro: Design

Honor 90 5G gets a premium design with its glass back panel that is glossy but nothing too alarming. The sleek dimensions of the phone with curved edges and a weight of 183 grams make it easy to use in the hand. It will surely appeal to a lot of buyers with its looks.

OnePlus Nord 3 is a mix of premium and basic materials which tends to work in its favour. The back body is made of glass and the textured finish reduces the chances of fingerprints catching on. The frame is made of plastic which is expected in this price range. It is on the heavier side at 193 grams compared to the Honor 90 5G.

iQOO Neo 7 Pro is not only a performance-centric device but also catches your eyes with its looks. iQOO has refreshed things on the design front by going for a faux-leather finish for the back panel and using bright and sparkly colours. To help with better in-hand comfort, the edges at the end are curved which also makes it look good.

Looks are subjective but if we purely go for a practical and durable design, our pick would be between the Nord 3 and iQOO Neo 7 Pro. The Honor 90 5G design will have its own fans.

Honor 90 5G vs OnePlus Nord 3 vs iQOO Neo 7 Pro: Display

Honor 90 5G sports a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display that offers 1.5K resolution at 1200 x 2664 pixels and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel offers a peak brightness of 1600 nits and there is a punch-hole cut out at the centre.

The Nord 3 has a marginally bigger 6.74-inch AMOLED display which supports Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The OnePlus phone gives you 1450-nits of peak brightness. The Nord 3 gets Dragontrail glass protection on the front and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection at the back.

iQOO Neo 7 Pro 5G has the biggest display out of these three phones. It gets a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate. iQOO is using something called the Schott Sensation Up for protecting the screen against scratches and drops.

Honor 90 5G has the best display quality of the three mentioned here, even though iQOO offers the biggest screen size.

Honor 90 5G vs OnePlus Nord 3 vs iQOO Neo 7 Pro: Performance and UI

Honor 90 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage that is not expandable. The new Honor phone in India gets the Android 13-based MagicOS 7.1 version which supports Google apps. The brand will offer two Android OS updates and three years of security patches for the device.

OnePlus is using the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset to power the Nord 3 that is paired with up to a massive 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. One of the strong points about the Nord 3 is the OxygenOS 13.1 version based on Android 13 that doesn’t have bloatware or ads. The smartphone will receive three Android OS updates and four years of security patches.

And finally, the iQOO Neo 7 Pro 5G gets the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage. In terms of software, the Neo 7 Pro 5G boots Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box which has bloatware and ads.

OnePlus Nord 3 and the iQOO 7 Pro 5G are the obvious performance devices but if you need clean software then the Honor 90 5G and Nord 3 are your picks.

Honor 90 5G vs OnePlus Nord 3 vs iQOO Neo 7 Pro: Cameras

Honor 90 5G gets a triple rear camera system that consists of a 200MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front side, the handset features a 50MP selfie camera.

The Nord 3 5G also features a triple-camera setup but the primary is a 50MP (Sony IMX890) sensor that has OIS support. The other two sensors are 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro.

iQOO Neo 7 Pro also has a triple-camera setup on the back which gives you a 50MP sensor along with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, the Neo 7 Pro 5G has a 16MP front camera.

All three brands have equal footing with their cameras, and because Honor’s 200MP doesn’t have OIS, we are inclined to go with the 50MP OIS sensor on the Nord 3.

Honor 90 5G vs OnePlus Nord 3 vs iQOO Neo 7 Pro: Battery

Honor 90 5G has a 5,000mAh battery which supports 66W fast charging.

OnePlus Nord 3 also has a 5,000mAh battery but with support for 80W fast charging. The Neo 7 Pro 5G comes with a 5000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging out of the box.

OnePlus and iQOO have the upper hand because of the faster charging support for their battery packs.

Honor 90 5G vs OnePlus Nord 3 vs iQOO Neo 7 Pro: Verdict

Honor 90 5G has a brighter display and better primary camera even without OIS, and the software with bloatware is understated. The Nord 3 has a powerful chipset, higher RAM than all the phones, clean software and fast charging. iQOO Neo 7 Pro also is a powerful device and its design and battery life is comparable to the other two phones. But it all boils down the price tag, and that’s where the OnePlus Nord 3 is our obvious pick, with the iQOO Neo 7 Pro coming close second.
