Honor has launched a new smartphone in the X50 series, dubbed Honor X50 GT, in China. The smartphone has specifications similar to the recently launched Honor X50 Pro smartphone in China. The X50 GT smartphone is primarily focused towards the online customers of the brand in its home country. The smartphone runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.

Honor X50 GT: Pricing, Availability

Honor has launched the smartphone in two colourways, which are Midnight Black and Silver Wing, God of War. The device’s Silver Wing God of War colourway sports a racing strip on the rear. The Chinese smartphone debuts the smartphone in 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB configurations. The smartphone’s base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage retails for RMB 2,199 (approx. Rs 26,169).

The 16GB RAM and 256GB / 512GB storage variants will cost RMB 2,399 (approx. Rs 28,560) and RMB 2,599 (approx. Rs 30,940) respectively. The top-end variant of the X50 GT smartphone with 1TB storage has been launched at RMB 2,899 (approx. Rs 33,910). Honor is offering a limited-time discount of RMB 200 (approx. Rs 3,570) for the first sale. The smartphone will go up for sale in various online retail platforms in China starting January 9.

Honor X50 GT smartphone has a curved OLED display, which is a significant upgrade from the LCD panel on the Honor X40 GT smartphone. It comes with high-frequency PWM dimming, including hardware-level dimming support. The display has a peak brightness of 1200 nits and an instant touch sampling rate of 1000Hz.

The X50 GT smartphone is powered by the popular Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The smartphone runs on MagicOS 7.2, based on Android 13, out of the box. The smartphone is backed by a large 5800mAh battery with 35W wired fast charging tech. The X50 GT smartphone features a dual rear camera setup with a 108MP primary sensor.
