Honor X50 GT Chipset Details Confirmed Ahead of January 4 Debut

Honor recently confirmed the launch of the Honor X50 GT smartphone. The Chinese OEM will debut the forthcoming X50 GT smartphone on January 4 in China. Honor launched the Honor 90 GT smartphone in China recently. The OEM has also scheduled launch events in China on January 10 and 11 to announce the Magic OS 8.0 and Magic 6 series smartphones.

The forthcoming X50 GT smartphone was listed on the Chinese website of Honor for pre-orders. The listing divulged the renders and configurations of the upcoming device. Digital Chat Station, a reliable tipster, has also revealed the device’s key specifications ahead of its debut. Now, Honor has confirmed the chipset and other specifications of the forthcoming smartphone through a new teaser.

Honor X50 GT Expected Specifications

Honor confirms it will equip the forthcoming device with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The chipset is fabricated on TSMC’s 4nm process and sports one Cortex X2 core at 3.2GHz, three Cortex A710 cores at 2.75GHz, four Cortex A510 cores at 2.0GHz, and an Adreno 730 GPU. Honor will equip the smartphone with Honor GPU Turbo to deliver top-notch performance.

The company teaser notes that the X50 GT smartphone can achieve higher frame rates than the Honor 90 GT smartphone equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The previous teasers confirmed that Honor will equip the smartphone with a curved OLED display. Honor will debut the smartphone in Black and White colour options.

The forthcoming smartphone will sport a circular camera island with Matrix AI Vision camera branding. The white colour variant of the device will also feature a golden strip in the middle of the rear panel connecting the camera module. Honor will equip the smartphone with a 108MP primary camera with a sensor size of 1/1.67-inch and f/1.75 aperture.

Honor will also equip the smartphone with a secondary rear camera, which is likely to be an ultrawide sensor. The power button and volume rockers are placed on the right side of the device.

The listing confirms that Honor will debut the base variant of the device with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Honor will also launch the smartphone in 16GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB configurations. The smartphone will likely be priced between RMB 2,000 (approx. Rs 23,600) and RMB 3,000 (approx. Rs 35,400).

Digital Chat Station previously divulged that Honor will equip the curved OLED display with 1.5K resolution. The smartphone is expected to feature high-frequency PWM dimming and will also sport an in-display fingerprint scanner. The smartphone will be backed by a 5800mAh battery with 35W wired fast charging support. The device will run on Magic OS 7.2 based on Android 14 out of the box.
