While the PlayStation 5 is meant for playing games it can also be used as a media device. You can listen to your favourite tracks and watch movies/TV shows via different streaming services. Today, we will talk about how you can listen to Apple Music playlists and podcasts on the PlayStation 5.

The best part is it is an easy process, similar to how you can connect YouTube and Discord with the console. Here’s what needs to be done.

How to Link an Apple Music Account with PlayStation 5

Visit PlayStation 5 Settings by selecting the gear icon in the top right corner of the home screen.
Choose Users and Accounts from the list of options.
Select Linked Services > Apple to move to the next step.
Select Link Account to confirm that you want to link the account.
Follow on-screen instructions on your mobile device to initiate the linking process.
A confirmation message will appear once the account is linked successfully.

You can now enjoy your favourite Apple Music playlists and tracks while you game on the PlayStation 5. Do note that you will need to have an active subscription to the music streaming service.

How to Unlink an Apple Music Account with PlayStation 5

This is also pretty simple to do and you just need to follow the above-mentioned steps to undo linking Apple Music with your PS5 account.

Visit Linked Services > Apple as explained above where it will show the service is linked.
Select Unlink Account to proceed.
Choose Yes, Unlink to confirm your choice of unlinking the account. This will unlink the Apple account from the console.
