Sony is known for collaborating with partners to bring special offers to PlayStation users. It teamed up with Apple to offer free Apple TV+ subscription to PS4 and PS5 customers in July. The company has announced another partnership with Apple under which it is now offering free Apple Music access to PlayStation 5 customers. The special offer comes with certain terms and conditions as you would expect. Here is everything you need to know.
PlayStation 5 Apple Music Offer Details
Sony has announced PlayStation 5 customers can get up to six months of free Apple Music subscription. The offer will let eligible users have free access to millions of songs and thousands of playlists that have made Apple Music a popular music streaming service.
The special offer is valid in over 70 countries worldwide including India. The good thing is it can be availed at any time until November 15, 2024. It means you have nearly a year to redeem the offer. This is particularly beneficial for people who are planning to buy a new PlayStation 5 console in the coming weeks or months.
Sony says PlayStation 5 users can also create their personal gaming playlists on Apple Music. This playlist can then be listened to before, during, or after the gameplay session. The offer is valid only for new and “qualified returning subscribers” to Apple Music. However, it has not specified what qualifies as an eligible returning subscriber.
How to Get Free Apple Music Subscription With PlayStation 5?
- Find the Apple Music app from your PlayStation 5 console’s search bar, or find it under “All apps” in Media Home.
- Download and open the Apple Music app and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Sign in with your Apple ID or create an Apple ID if you don’t already have one.
- Enjoy up to 6 months of Apple Music at no extra cost.
New subscribers will get a full six months of free access but eligible returning customers will get five months of free access. It is important to note that you can avail the special Apple Music offer only through a PlayStation 5 console. Once redeemed, you will be able to enjoy free Apple Music on any device of your choice. Sony has further added, “Offer may only be redeemed once per PlayStation 5 console; limit one per Apple Music subscriber.”
The company recently released the Sony Pictures Core movie streaming app for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 customers. This app offers access to up to 2,000 movies that can be purchased or rented. It further has about 100 free movies for PlayStation Plus Premium and Deluxe subscribers.
