Featuring the Latest 5G-Ready Kirin 980 Chipset
Introduced earlier this year at IFA, Berlin, Kirin 980 Chipset brings significant improvements over its predecessor. The major highlight of the chipset is that it’s 5G-ready and with India progressing towards the future technology, the premium Huawei smartphone makes a great choice. Huawei Mate 20 Pro is the first smartphone powered by this chipset to arrive in India. Based on the 7nm manufacturing process, the Kirin 980 chipset is more power efficient and is designed for seamless multitasking. Huawei is pitching its latest chipset against the Snapdragon 845 SoC and the Exynos 9810 chipset, which are currently dominating the market. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro comes with a lot of great features. One of the most notable ones is the wireless reverse charging that allows it to charge another device supporting wireless charging. This unique feature is developed on the Qi standard that enables it to identify devices and charge them based on their capacity of receiving the output power. The smartphone is water and dust proof. It comes with the support for 3D face recognition that also allows you to create your own emojis. It also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, the device allows you to cast its screen on a different device like a television.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a tall 6.39-inch AMOLED display with 1440 x 3120 pixels resolution. The smartphone offers an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 87.9%. Like discussed earlier, it is powered by the Kirin 980 chipset, combined with Mali-G76 GPU. In the imaging department, the smartphone flaunts a triple-camera setup at the rear comprising a 40MP sensor, a 20MP ultrawide lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens. The front of the device hosts a 24MP snapper for selfies, video calling. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is fueled by a large 4200mAh capacity battery that supports fast charging.
As for the software, the smartphone runs the latest Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.0 skin on the top. The connectivity options that tag along with the Huawei Mate 20 Pro include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.0 with LE, USB Type C.
