iQOO has announced its new flagship smartphone series in China. The company has announced the iQOO 11 Pro as its new premium smartphone in China. The iQOO 11 5G has also been launched alongside. Both devices are expected to launch in India early next year. According to the rumour mill, the iQOO 11 series India launch could be hosted in January 2023.

The iQOO flagships pack the latest hardware under the hood. They also come in faux leather and glass back variants. Let’s take a look at the iQOO 11 series specifications, features and other details revealed at the launch.

iQOO 11 Series Price and Specifications

The iQOO 11 Pro sits at the top of the lineup in China. It has been launched in three storage options, with the base model having 8GB of RAM. This variant has LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage and is priced at CNY 4999 (Rs 59,100). The device also comes with 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB storage options, which are priced at CNY 5499 (roughly Rs 65,000)and CNY 5999 (roughly Rs 70,900). It is available in Alpha, Green and Legend edition colours.

The 11 5G’s top storage option, on the other hand, comes with five storage options. The top-end variant offers 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It is priced at CNY 4999 (roughly Rs 59,100). The phone also comes with a 16GB + 256GB option, which is priced at CNY 4699 (roughly Rs 55,500). The other options include 12GB + 256GB, 8GB + 256GB and 8GB + 128GB, which are priced at CNY 4399 (roughly Rs 52,000), CNY 4099 (roughly Rs 48,400) and CNY 3799 (roughly Rs 44,900).

In terms of specifications, both phones come with the same 6.78-inch E6 AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate support and a 2K resolution. The main difference here is that the screen on the 11 Pro 5G is curved, whereas the standard model’s display is flat. There is a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera. The devices also come with an HDR10+ certification and 1440Hz PWM Dimming.

Under the hood, both phones share the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. They also feature the new V2 custom Image Signal Processor (ISP) developed by Vivo. The custom ISP is claimed to offer enhanced performance while recording videos in lowlight or shooting portrait shots. While we are at the cameras, both phones feature a triple-camera setup on the back. However, the sensors vary.

The 11 Pro 5G comes with a 50MP Sony IMX866 main camera sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 150-degree fisheye lens and a 13MP portrait-telephoto camera. The 11 5G has a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 13MP telephoto camera sensor with 2x optical zoom. The primary camera sensors of both devices support optical image stabilisation (OIS). Both phones come with a 16MP front camera.

The iQOO 11 packs a 5000mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging out of the box. The 11 Pro 5G, on the other hand, has a smaller 4700mAh battery but supports 200W fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.

Both devices run on the latest Android 13 software out of the box. They come with a layer of Origin OS Forest in China. The global variants will boot Funtouch OS 13 out of the box. iQOO India has not confirmed any details about the launch. The phones are expected to arrive in India in January 2023.
