iQOO seems to be preparing for the launch of the iQOO 3 successor, the iQOO 5 smartphone soon in China. The device has been the subject of multiple leaks in the last few days, thanks to new emerging information coming out courtesy multiple Weibo tipsters. A new Vivo smartphone with model number Vivo V2055A, believed to be the iQOO Neo 5 even popped-up on Google Play Console last week, that revealed key specs of the handset. Well, the device’s real life image has now leaked, which even exposes the specs along with the front design.

If we go by this leaked image, we can see that the iQOO Neo 5 will offer a punch-hole display that will house a single front-facing camera. The phone will have volume buttons and unlock button placed at the right side. Moving towards the specs of the device, it might be powered by Snapdragon 870 SoC, which was announced by Qualcomm last month. If the past information is to be believed, the phone might ship with 8GB/12GB of RAM along with 128GB/256GB internal storage. On the software front, the iQOO Neo 5 might run Android 11 out-of-the box with Vivo’s custom UI.

As far as the imaging details of the phone are concerned, they do remain unknown at the moment. It is believed that the iQOO Neo 5 will offer 88W fast charging support. If we go by the leaked pricing by the tipster, the iQOO Neo 5 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage could be priced at CNY 2998, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB model might retail for CNY 3,298. The higher-end model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage might cost CNY 3,598. The launch date of this upcoming handset is unknown initially, however leaks suggest us that the phone might go official in mid March.

In a piece of related news, we are also aware of the news that Vivo is preparing for the launch of the Vivo S9. The device had gained 3C certification, and was even detailed by Google Play Console a few days ago. The Vivo S9 might feature an OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, offering a Full HD resolution. It is believed that the S9 could be the first phone in the world to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 1100 SoC. Other details suggest that it might feature a 64MP primary camera, a 44MP front-facing camera, and a 4000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The phone is considered to pack a whopping 12GB of RAM, and 256GB internal storage.

The Vivo S9 is expected to launch on March 6th in China. However, Vivo is yet to officially confirm the launch of the Vivo S9. As the days pass, we might get to learn more about the iQOO Neo 5, and the Vivo S9, if either of them appears on TENAA certification.
