iQOO is all set to debut the iQOO 12 flagship smartphone in India on December 12. The upcoming device is the first non-Pixel smartphone to launch with Android 14 out of the box. iQOO has also announced that it would offer a bloatware free experience with the upcoming Funtouch OS 14 for iQOO 12 smartphone. iQOO is tipped to debut the iQOO Neo 9 series smartphones soon in China.
Digital Chat Station previously revealed the camera specifications of the upcoming Neo 9 series smartphones. The smartphones also received IMEI certification, indicating that the launch is nearing. The upcoming Neo 9 series will consist of iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro smartphones similar to its predecessors. Digital Chat Station has shared the schematics of the upcoming devices which reveals the design ahead of its debut.
The post shared by the tipster on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo reveals that iQOO will equip the upcoming smartphones with 6.78-inch AMOLED displays. The display will sport a centred punch-hole cut-out to house the selfie camera. iQOO is also tipped to equip smartphones with thinner bezels in comparison to its predecessors. The Vivo-owned brand will also replace the existing plastic frame with a metallic frame.
The metallic frame will strengthen the smartphones in terms of its build quality. The switching of metallic frame will also provide a premium experience for the users. Digital Chat Station adds that the upcoming Neo 9 series smartphones offer a better in-hand experience in comparison to its predecessors. DCS hints that the device is thinner than the last generation Neo 8 series smartphones.
iQOO is likely to equip the upcoming smartphones with two individual camera rings and an LED flash placed adjacent to them. The second camera ring is tipped to fit the ultra-wide-angle and tertiary sensors. The power button and volume rockers can be seen on the right side of the smartphone. Digital Chat Station adds that iQOO will equip the smartphone with a dual-coloured back panel owing to the current trend in the industry.
The forthcoming iQOO Neo 9 series smartphones will feature a rounded edge corner to improve the in-hand feel of the device. The tipster previously revealed that the upcoming iQOO device will sport a 50MP primary sensor. The sensor is likely to be the Sony IMX 920 sensor, which debuted along with Vivo X100 series smartphones.
The IMEI listing of the smartphones revealed that the vanilla model will sport the model number V2338A. In contrast, the Pro variant obtained the IMEI certification with the model number V2339A. The upcoming smartphones are tipped to debut with Origin OS 4 based on Android 14 out of the box in China. iQOO is also tipped to launch the smartphones in H1 of 2024 in India.
