iQOO Z8x Confirmed To Feature Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC Ahead of August 31 Launch

iQOO is set to launch the iQOO Z8 series smartphones such as the iQOO Z8 and the iQOO Z8x in China on August 31. The key specifications of these upcoming smartphones were tipped a couple of days back. The previous leak revealed that the iQOO Z8 and the Z8x will boast a 6.64-inch display, a dual-camera setup, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Now, in a recent development, iQOO has confirmed that the iQOO Z8x will be powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC.

The iQOO Z8x is tipped to feature a 6.64-inch display which could have a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is tipped to boast a dual-camera setup, which might include a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP portrait camera. Furthermore, the handset is said to pack up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone is rumoured to pack a 6,000mAh battery which could support 44W fast charging. For security purpose, the handset might feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

On the software front, both the upcoming Z8 series devices are tipped to boot Android 13 out of the box. The iQOO Z8 could share some similar specifications as that of the Z8x, except that it could differ in terms of hardware and camera department. The previous leak suggests that the iQOO Z8 will sport a 64MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary lens. The smartphone could be powered by Dimensity 8200 SoC. The device is said to ship with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Last but not least, the device could pack a 5,000mAh battery which is said to support 120W fast charging.
