iQOO confirms that the upcoming iQOO Z8 series smartphones will be launched in China on August 31. The event will start at 7 PM (UTC + 8) in China and can be accessed through the brand’s social media handles. The teaser video shared by the brand confirms that the device will be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra SoC, built on a 5nm process.
The chipset has one Cortex-A78 core clocked at 3.1GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores at 3.0GHz, four Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, and an Arm Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. The smartphone scored 1273 points in the single-core and 4011 points in multi-core tests of GeekBench 6. The video also reveals that iQOO will launch the smartphones in Blue and White.
iQOO also confirms that the smartphone will have a dual rear camera. The company will launch the smartphone with a rectangular camera cut-out similar to the iQOO Z6 Pro 5G smartphone. The Chinese OEM will equip the device with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) for the primary lens. The teaser video also reveals the speaker grille, USB Type-C port, and SIM card tray will be placed on the bottom of the smartphone.
The power button and volume rockers can be seen on the right. The 3.5mm headphone jack and primary and secondary microphones are on the top. The video also teases that the device will be equipped with thin bezels. iQOO is expected to reveal the other specifications of the smartphones through new teasers in the upcoming days.
