iQOO Z9 5G BIS Certification
The upcoming iQOO smartphone has received BIS certification with the model number I2302. The BIS certification obtained by the smartphone hints that the launch of the Z9 5G smartphone is nearing in India. However, the certification doesn’t reveal the moniker or specifications of the smartphone.
The l2302 model number and the moniker of the smartphone were earlier divulged through the Bluetooth SIG listing obtained by the smartphone. The Bluetooth SIG listing also confirms that iQOO will debut the smartphone with Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.
The 5G tag in the moniker reaffirms that iQOO will debut the smartphone with 5G connectivity. We have also spotted the upcoming iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G smartphone with the model number I2304 in the BIS certification. The pre-booking of the smartphone is live in India ahead of its scheduled launch on February 22.
Tipster Digital Chat Station has also shared the alleged specifications of the Chinese variant of the upcoming iQOO Z9 5G smartphone. The post shared on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo divulges that iQOO will equip the smartphone with an OLED panel with 1.5K resolution. The OLED panel is an upgrade over the iQOO Z8 series, which came with an LCD panel. The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, according to the tipster.
The leak contradicts the previous leak of tipster Wisdom / Smart Pikachu, who revealed that the smartphone will be backed by Dimensity 8300 SoC. DCS also divulges that the Z9 5G will be backed by a large 6,000mAh battery. The smartphone is expected to appear on other certification platforms in the upcoming weeks.
