iQOO is gearing up to launch the iQOO Z9 series of smartphones in China. The series is tipped to consist of the iQOO Z9, iQOO Z9 Turbo, and iQOO Z9x smartphones. Digital Chat Station, a tipster on Weibo, has shared the chipset details of the upcoming iQOO Z9 Turbo smartphone.
iQOO Z9 Turbo Expected Specifications
The tipster reveals that iQOO will debut the smartphone with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. The octa-core chipset is said to sport one Cortex X4 core at 3.01GHz, four Cortex A720 cores at 2.61GHz, three Cortex A520 cores at 1.84GHz, and an Adreno 735 GPU.
Qualcomm has scheduled an event in China on March 18 to announce new chipsets. The chipset manufacturer is expected to announce the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, and other chipsets at the upcoming event.
The previous leak from the tipster revealed that iQOO will debut a new variant of the iQOO Neo 9 series with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. The device was alleged to debut under the iQOO Neo 9 Racing Edition moniker. However, the new leak confirms that the device will launch with the iQOO Z9 Turbo moniker.
The previous leak revealed that the device will sport a 6.78-inch OLED panel with 1.5K resolution. iQOO will debut the OLED panel with support for 144Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz PWM dimming. The upcoming Z9 Turbo smartphone will debut with a dual camera setup on the rear, comprising a 50MP primary sensor.
The smartphone will be backed by a large battery, which is 6000mAh. iQOO is said to debut the smartphone alongside the vanilla iQOO Z9 and iQOO Z9x smartphones in April in China.
The vanilla iQOO Z9 smartphone launching in China will differ from the iQOO Z9 launched in India. The Chinese variant of the iQOO Z9 smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, and a 6000mAh battery will back the device. The iQOO Z9x is said to debut with an LCD screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC.
