
Jio has announced the launch of its 5G service in 41 additional cities today across 16 states and union territories. The telecom giant has expanded its 5G service today in several cities of Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra. Prior to expanding its 5G service in 41 cities, a few days back Jio had announced the rollout of its 5G service in 34 cities. Below is the list of cities which Jio’s 5G services will be available from today:

- Adoni, Badvel, Chilakaluripet, Gudivada, Kadiri, Narsapur, Rayachoti, Srikalahasti, Tadepalligudem (Andhra Pradesh)
- Margao (Goa)
- Fatehabad, Gohana, Hansi, Narnaul, Palwal (Haryana)
- Paonta Sahib (Himachal Pradesh)
- Rajouri (Jammu & Kashmir)
- Dumka (Jharkhand)
- Robertsonpet (Karnataka)
- Kanhangad, Nedumangad, Taliparamba, Thalassery, Thiruvalla (Kerala)
- Betul, Vidisha, Bhandara, Dewas (Madhya Pradesh)
- Bhandara, Wardha (Maharashtra)
- Lunglei (Mizoram)
- Byasanagar, Rayagada (Odisha)
- Hoshiarpur (Punjab)
- Tonk (Rajasthan)
- Karaikudi, Krishnagiri, Ranipet, Theni Allinagaram, Udhagamandalam, Vaniyambadi (Tamil Nadu)

Jio users residing in the above-mentioned cities will be invited to Jio Welcome offer, to experience unlimited data up to 1Gbps+ speed at no additional cost. With this recent launch of 5G services in 41 cities, Jio True 5G services are now available in 406 cities in India, and by the end of this year, the telco plans to cover all cities. If you are a Jio user and have a compatible 5G device, you will need have 5G plan of Rs 239 or above to make use of 5G services. If you don’t have a Rs 239 or above plan you can use 5G by making a recharge of Rs 61. The Rs 61 plan offers 6GB of data. However, once the 6GB of data is consumed, the speed limit will be reduced to 64Kbps.
As mentioned above, Jio had launched its 5G services in 34 cities a few days back. The company had expanded its 5G service in Dharamshala, Kangra, Baramulla, Kathua, Katra, Sopore, Haveri, Karwar, Ranebennur, Tura, Bhiwani, Jind, Kaithal, Rewari, and more cities. Prior to that the company had announced the launch of its 5G service in Ankleshwar, Savarkundla, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Nadaun, Shimla, Akola, and Parbhani.
Meanwhile, Jio’s competitor Airtel is also expanding its 5G service in new cities. A few days back, Airtel had launched its 5G service in Katra, Anantnag, Baramulla, and Rajouri. In a piece of related news, Airtel recently announced an introductory offer to let customers experience high-speed 5G data. The company started providing 5G services to users who have an active plan of Rs 239 or above. The other plans which provide 5G costs Rs 265, Rs 296, Rs 299, and Rs 319.
