Xiaomi has officially launched the Mi TV 5X in India today at its Smarter Living 2022 launch event. The newly launched Mi TV 5X brings in a number of improvements compared to the Mi TV 4X. The Mi TV 5X comes in 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch screen sizes. All three TV models have Dolby Vision, HDR 10+, HDR 10 support. They run Android TV 10 operating system with PatchWall 4 UI. These new offerings by Xiaomi come equipped with a 64-bit quad-core A55 processor and have 2GB of RAM + 16GB of internal storage. Audio on the 50-inch and 55-inch TV models is handled by a 40W stereo speaker which has Dolby Atmos and DTH-HD support. The other key specifications the Mi TV 5X series offer include far-field mics, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2×2 MIMO), and HDMI 2.1 port. The Mi TV 5X 43-inch model is priced at Rs 31,999, while the cost of the 50-inch and 55-inch Mi TV 5X is set to Rs 41,999 and Rs 47,999 respectively. The Mi TV 5X series can be purchased from mi.com and Mi Home stores.

Speaking about the Mi TV 5X 55-inch model first, it features a 55-inch 4K HDR bezel-less display that has 3840 × 2160 pixel resolution. The display panel has HDR 10, HDR 10+, Dolby Vision, HLG, 88% NTSC colour gamut, 96.6% screen-to-body ratio, and 94% DCI P3 colour gamut. On the other hand, the Mi TV 4X 43′ and 50′ TV models as the name suggest comes with a 43-inch and 50-inch display that has 3840 × 2160 pixel resolution. The 43-inch TV model has a 95.4% screen-to-body ratio, while the 50-inch variant has a 95.9% screen-to-body ratio. These two variants also have 4K HDR display that has HDR 10, HDR 10+, Dolby Vision, 88% NTSC colour gamut, HLG, 96.6% screen-to-body ratio, and 94% DCI P3 colour gamut.
These three TV models are powered by a 64-bit quad-core A55 processor. They come with 2GB of RAM and packs 16GB of storage. On the software side of things, the Mi TV 5X series run Android TV 10 operating system with Xiaomi’s own PatchWall 4 UI. The company has added 75+ free live channels and Universal Search across 30 OTT apps on the PatchUI 4. The Mi TV 5X also has a Chromecast built-in which allows users to stream their favorite TV series, movies from smartphones, laptops on the TV. As mentioned above, the audio on the 50-inch and 55-inch is handled by 40W stereo speakers, while the 43-inch model comes equipped with 30W speakers. The speakers have Dolby Atomos and DTS-HD support. Connectivity-wise all three TV models has three HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, one Ethernet port, AV input, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Mi TV 5X also has Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2×2 MIMO) and Bluetooth v5.0 support.
