OPPO Announces AI Eraser for Reno 11 Series: Check Details

OPPO has announced its AI Eraser for the OPPO Reno 11 series smartphones. The brand claims that the Reno 11 series smartphone will be the first smartphone in the segment to sport a capability for advanced generative AI image editing. Check out the details.

OPPO AI Eraser Explained

OPPO has revealed that the objects can be removed from the images by circling the unwanted objects. The AI will intelligently identify the circled, unwanted object and remove it from the image. The eraser will then generate natural-looking content to fill in the removed object. Leon Wang, Director of the RENO series product planning department, said,

“OPPO is committed to enrich everyday experiences through technology for everyone.”

Users will be greeted with a natural-looking image once the unwanted object is removed.OPPO’s AI Eraser will come as a built-in feature of the Gallery and is said to be different from other such tools and creates a “natural-looking” image. This comes after OnePlus announced its AI Eraser, which went live recently. The feature is available for the OnePlus 12, the OnePlus 12R, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 5G, and the OnePlus Open foldable phone.

OPPO AI Eraser Availability

OPPO has confirmed that the AI Eraser will be available to the OPPO Reno 11, Reno 11 Pro, and Reno 11F smartphones in early April 2024 via an OTA update. OPPO launched the Reno 11F smartphone under the OPPO F25 Pro moniker in India.

This will be a global rollout and will be available in select regions. The eraser is said to be rolled out to the Philippine market initially and will be available in other global markets in the upcoming weeks.
