OnePlus Ace 3V to Feature Qualcomm Processor
Digital Chat Station, a well-known and reliable tipster, has posted about a new mid-range smartphone coming to China. He did not specifically mention the name but speculations suggest it is likely the OnePlus Ace 3V.
The alleged OnePlus Ace 3V is claimed to sport an AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution. This is the same as the current-gen model Ace 2V. The biggest highlight is that OnePlus is said to switch from MediaTek to Qualcomm for the upcoming smartphone.
It is claimed the Ace 3V will be powered by the Qualcomm SM7550 processor. It is a chipset that is yet to go official. It will be based on TSMC’s 4nm fabrication processor and is expected to be released as Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. In comparison, the Ace 2V comes loaded with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor.
This particular information corroborates a previous report. OnePlus was previously rumoured to be working on ditching MediaTek processors completely. It is speculated all OnePlus smartphones will come with Qualcomm processors regardless of their price and series.
The OnePlus Ace 3V will launch in China soon but an exact release timeline is unknown. It will also remain exclusive to the country as Ace is a China-exclusive smartphone series. However, we may see the Ace 3V getting rebranded as Nord 4 or Nord 5 for the global launch. The Ace 2V was made official in India as Nord 3 a few months ago.
As mentioned in the beginning, the next major OnePlus launch is its first foldable smartphone. It is the OnePlus Open which will go official on October 19. It will be a book-style foldable phone and a rebranded Oppo Find N3. It recently made an appearance in a video revealing its punch-hole display design.
The OnePlus Open is confirmed to feature water resistance. It will also have the signature Alert Slider that we have seen on numerous OnePlus smartphones. There will be a USB Type-C port and speaker grille at the bottom. The foldable is expected to offer 100W wired fast charging support. It is expected to cost Rs 1,39,999 in India with sales beginning October 27.
