Tipster Abhishek Yadav, on Twitter, revealed that the OnePlus’s first foldable – the OnePlus Open will be priced at Rs 1,39,999 in the Indian market. This means that the OnePlus Open will be cheaper than Samsung’s latest foldable – the Galaxy Z Fold 5 – in the country. If true, the OnePlus Open India price will be very close to its US price. As per a leak, the OnePlus Open will cost $1,700 (approx Rs 1,41,500) in the US market.
The OnePlus Open is tipped to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor under the hood. The device might offer a 6.31-inch AMOLED display on the outer side. Unfolding it will reveal a 7.8-inch AMOLED display which might have a 120Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution.
OnePlus recently posted a teaser on social media channels that confirms that the OnePlus Open will feature Hasselblad tuned camera setup. The same teaser suggests that the OnePlus Open might feature a periscope camera lens. If so, the OnePlus Open will be the first smartphone by OnePlus to feature a periscope lens.
OnePlus recently confirmed that the OnePlus Open will be the same as the Oppo Find N3. To those unaware, the Oppo Find N3 is launching on the same day, i.e. October 19 in the Chinese market. The OnePlus Open and Oppo Find N3 will sport a 37% smaller hinge when compared to last year’s Oppo Find N2. The company also revealed that the OnePlus Open will be lighter and stronger compared to the Oppo Find N2 since it uses 31 fewer components.
