OnePlus is gearing up to launch its new premium earbuds – the Buds 3. Recently, we exclusively unveiled the renders and specifications of the device. Yesterday, it was spotted on the FCC certification website. Today, the team at MySmartPrice spotted the upcoming OnePluds Buds 3 on the BIS certification website with the E509A model number.

Unfortunately, the listing doesn’t confirm any specifications of the device. But it surely indicates an imminent launch in the Indian market.

The FCC certification has officially revealed the device’s name and offers a glimpse into its design. It solidifies the company’s commitment to maintaining the design language introduced with the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 earlier this year.

Additionally, the certification sheds light on the charging specifications of the device. According to the listing, the case will be equipped with a 520mAh battery featuring (5V=0.9A) 4.5W Input and (5V=0.24A) 1.2W Output support, with a Typical Capacity of 525mAh (1.995Wh). The earbuds themselves will be powered by a 58mAh battery.

OnePlus Buds 3 Specifications

Regarding specifications, the OnePlus Buds 3 will feature a 10.4mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter. Similar to its forerunner, the Buds 3 will incorporate 48dB Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) support. Additionally, these earbuds will possess an IP55 rating for water and dust resistance, while the case will carry an IPX4 rating. Concerning other features, the earbuds will support Bluetooth v5.3, Google Fast Pair, and dual connections.

The earbuds are projected to deliver the same 9 hours of battery life as the Buds Pro 2 when ANC is turned off. With the case, the Buds 3 are expected to offer a combined battery life of 33 hours. When ANC is activated, the earbuds are anticipated to sustain 6 hours of usage, extending to 22 hours with the case. They will also support fast charging; a brief 10-minute charge will provide 5 hours of listening time.

As of now, there is no available information regarding the debut date for these upcoming TWS earbuds. Given that the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 was launched alongside the OnePlus 11 earlier this year, it is anticipated that the Buds 3 will be introduced alongside the OnePlus 12 next year. The OnePlus 12 is expected to be released in India and the global market in January 2024.
