A leaked video of the upcoming OPPO Find X7 showcases a curved display.
The device will also feature an alert slider, as found on OnePlus smartphones.
The video also shows that the non-leather variants of the OPPO Find X7 will have a glossy design.
OPPO has scheduled the launch of its flagship Find X7 Series in China for January 8, 2023. The company already revealed the design of the phone through teaser images, and also confirmed the Hasselblad partnership for cameras. Ahead of its official launch, hands-on videos of the OPPO Find X7 have now emerged online.
The videos showcase the four colour variants of the device and provide us with a closer look at the design of OPPO’s upcoming flagship.
The video confirms that the OPPO Find X7 will feature a curved AMOLED screen. Although OPPO had already released a trailer video of the device, the teaser only showed the back side of the phone. The leaked video also suggests that the camera bump on the device may not be as huge.
According to the leaked video, the dual-tone colour scheme on the OPPO Find X7 will feature a leather finish on the Sea and Sky, and Desert Moon models. The other two variants namely Smokey Purple and Starry Sky Black will have a glossy finish. The OPPO Find X7 will also feature an alert slider.
Apart from the design, the leaked video does not reveal any specifications of the device. As per previous reports, the OPPO Find X7 is expected to feature a 6.78-inch OLED screen from BOE with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The device may also feature the recently launched MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset.
To recall, OPPO Find X7 was recently spotted on AnTuTu with the Dimensity 9300 chipset. The device scored over 2.2 million points and also demonstrated strong gaming potential with the Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU.
During the launch of the chipset, MediaTek highlighted the AI capabilities of the Dimensty 9300 chipset with its APU 790 chip. The OPPO Find X7 could harness this potential for its HyperTone Camera System, which was announced by OPPO in November 2023.
HyperTone will improve the HDR processing of images, and enhance the bokeh effect in portrait shots. The technology is co-developed by OPPO and Hasselblad together and is expected to debut with the upcoming OPPO Find X7 Series.
It is worth noting that OPPO did not launch the Find X6 Series outside of China last year. We had the chance to test the device and we were amazed by the camera capabilities of the device. But it was disappointing to see the OPPO Find X6 being left out of the global markets.
Considering that the OPPO Find X7 will be one of the first set of devices with the Dimensity 9300, and the company’s ongoing focus on flagship devices and AI across the world, we can expect that OPPO may unveil the Find X7 Series in select markets outside of China. However, OPPO has not announced any plans to bring the device to global markets yet.
