OPPO has announced a slew of AI-powered features coming to a range of devices from both OPPO and OnePlus. According to Weibo posts by the brand, the new Android 14-based ColorOS update will bring over 100 new AI features to supported devices.

Moreover, the features will roll out to OPPO and OnePlus devices in China and there is no word on whether the feature will arrive on the global versions as well. The most notable features include AI Deletion and AI Call Summary. Let’s take a gander at the AI features and the complete list of devices.

ColorOS New Year Edition Brings AI Features to OPPO and OnePlus Phones

The ColorOS New Year Edition adds AI Deletion and Call summary features to OPPO and OnePlus devices, which are self-explanatory. The AI Deletion is similar to Google’s Magic Eraser and Samsung’s Object Eraser. It helps users remove unwanted objects and people from pictures.

Then there is the AI Call Summary, which is designed to make phone calls easier. The feature can listen to your phone calls to intelligently analyse, transcribe, and highlight important points.

The AI Call Summary can also create reminders and to-do lists based on your call conversations. After the call is over, users can tap on the status bar to see a note with a call summary including time stamps.

OPPO’s voice assistant in ColorOS in China called Xiabou is also getting a ton of AI features. The Xiabou voice assistant is now more realistic with improved generative AI-backed speech capabilities.

OPPO has also added new skills to the assistant to perform more general tasks as well as complicated tasks. According to OPPO, Xiabou can now field awkward questions, generate recipes, and more.

The Happy New Year Edition of ColorOS also brings AI Greeting Cards to generate custom New Year cards with templates and suggestions. Another feature is Photo Studio, which lets users create celebratory photos by applying New Year-themed filters and templates to pictures.
