OPPO Reno 12 Series Specifications Leaked, Tipped To Launch In June 2024

A few weeks back, just after the Reno 11 series was launched in India, Digital Chat Station shared some early leaks of the upcoming Reno 12 series devices and now, a report from MSPowerUser has given out most of the specifications and details of the upcoming Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro models.

The OPPO Reno 11 series was launched in India nearly a month ago. The Reno 11 series comes with two phones 一 the OPPO Reno 11 and the OPPO Reno 11 Pro. OPPO has also officially teased the launch of the OPPO Reno 11F 5G phone in the series, which is expected to launch in the coming weeks. However, there is already a bit of buzz going on in the town about the next-gen Reno smartphones.

OPPO Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro Specifications Leaked

As per the report, the OPPO Reno 12 series’ specifications have been gathered from an internal document and based on this document, here is what the phones will offer. Starting with the top-end phone of the duo, the Reno 12 Pro is said to be powered by MediaTek Dimension 9200, which is code-named “MTK DX-2”. The phone is said to feature 12GB of RAM along with 256GB and 512GB internal storage options.

Further, the Reno 12 Pro is tipped to feature a large 6.7-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and a curved glass back. The phone is expected to feature a triple rear camera system with a 50MP primary lens with OIS, a secondary 50MP snapper with 2x optical zoom and an 8MP sensor, which could be an ultra-wide lens. The phone is said to feature a 50MP selfie snapper with autofocus. Lastly, the Pro model is expected to feature a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 67W fast charging.

Moving to the vanilla model, the Reno 12 is said to feature a MediaTek processor codenamed “MTK 24M”, details of which are yet to be confirmed. This device is said to come in a 12GB + 256GB variant. While this phone is said to feature a 50MP selfie shooter, it will miss out on the autofocus. Apart from these, the rest of the specifications across the devices are the same, as per the report.

Furthermore, the internal document also reveals that the Reno 12 series will launch in June 2024. However, the exact date is yet to be confirmed. Since this leak is based on an internal document, it is worth mentioning that things could change over the coming weeks in terms of specifications as the company could be testing the device before finalizing the final specs.

It is also worth mentioning that the previous leak from the Digital Chat Station tipped that the OPPO Reno 12 series smartphones will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series sub-flagship platform chipset, which could be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Since there are a few months until the actual launch happens, things could go either way when it comes to the SoC on the Reno 12 series.
