Earlier this morning, we learned that POCO is planning to launch its first budget 5G smartphone – POCO M3 Pro 5G in global markets. The company executives, in an inteview, revealed that the smartphone will retail in the iconic POCO Yellow color variant, and will offer a higher refresh rate display. The company took it to social media channels to reveal that the upcoming POCO smartphone will launch next week on 19th May. Ahead of the launch, the renders of the POCO M3 Pro have surfaced on the web. The leaked renders have already confirmed a triple rear camera setup along with the rear panel design of the handset. Let us take a look at the design, and renders.
POCO has gone with a dual-tone design for the POCO M3 Pro. We have seen a similar design with the POCO M3, but this time around there is a vertical island around the camera. It is a little reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy S21 design, but still somehow feels refreshing. The POCO branding in the huge font can be seen below the camera module. The leaked renders confirm that the smartphone will retail in Black, Yellow, and Blue shades.
This time around the POCO M-series handset will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 5G-enabled processor. The handset is expected to be powered by an octa-core Dimensity 700 processor, as it powers Redmi Note 10 5G. The MediaTek Dimensity 700 is fabbed on a 7nm fabrication process. The company has also confirmed faster storage and more RAM on the Pro variant compared to the regular POCO M3.
POCO M3 Pro 5G might offer a 48MP triple-rear camera setup with an LED flash. While, the other two sensors could be 2MP depth, and macro sensors. It might come equipped with an 8MP shooter for the selfies. The smartphone will boot Xiaomi’s proprietary MIUI 12.5, on top of Android 11. The M3 Pro could feature a 5000mAh battery with 22.5W fast-charging support over a Type-C port. The upcoming POCO handset will feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor which will also double as the power button.
The smartphone should also launch in the Indian market, as its predecessor – POCO M2 Pro launched in India almost a year ago. What do you think of the POCO M3 Pro design? Do let us know in the comments below.
