POCO Global executive David Liu has dropped a teaser for the launch of an upcoming POCO smartphone. Mr Liu took to X (formerly Twitter) to drop the teaser. Have a look at the details.

New POCO Phone Launching Soon

The X post suggests that the upcoming POCO handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. It is also revealed that the phone will mark the global debut (outside China) of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor.

This upcoming POCO handset could be the POCO F6. For those unaware, the POCO F6 with the model numbers 24069PC21I and 24069PC21G was recently spotted on the IMEI database.

While Mr Liu mentioned the Xiaomi CIVI 4 Pro in his post, it doesn’t mean that the CIVI 4 Pro will be rebranded under the POCO branding. For those uninitiated, the Xiaomi CIVI 4 Pro is the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3-powered smartphone and went official just yesterday in China.

The upcoming POCO F6 is said to have codename Peridot and might be a rebranded Redmi Note 13 Turbo from China. Redmi is yet to launch Note 13 Turbo in China but the company has confirmed the handset’s existence. Redmi has also confirmed that the upcoming Note 13 Turbo will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 was announced earlier this week and sits between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processors.

In related news, a report by 91mobiles Hindi claims that POCO has started internal testing for the POCO F6 in India. The report suggests that the handset will be equipped with 120W fast charging support.

The POCO F6 could go official sometime next month and we can also expect it to launch in the Indian market. Before the official debut, the handset will likely appear on certification websites over the next few weeks. So, stay tuned.
