Update: The Mi 10i, Redmi 9 Power, POCO M3 devices have now received BIS certification with the same model numbers which were spotted earlier. It seems that the company is hinting towards an imminent launch of the aforementioned smartphones.
Original story follows…
Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi recently unveiled its Redmi Note 9 series in China. The lineup has three devices – Redmi Note 9 4G, Redmi Note 9 5G, and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. Amongst these, we have already spotted the Redmi Note 9 5G device’s potential rebranded variant for the global market – the Redmi Note 9T 5G, on the NBTC certification website earlier today. Now, the remaining two devices have also come in the picture, as the rebranded variants, the Redmi 9 Power (rebranded Redmi Note 9 4G for the Indian market) and the Xiaomi Mi 10i (rebranded Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G for the Indian market) have been spotted on the Google Play Console listing. Take a look.
Mi 10i and Redmi 9 Power Indian launch imminent
As seen in the Google Play Console listing images of the Mi 10i and Redmi 9 Power, the specifications of both devices fall in line with their respective Chinese counterparts. Plus, we have already spotted both Mi 10i and Redmi 9 Power on the Google Supported Devices list, which pretty much tells us the same story – a rebrand, as the model numbers of the devices are the same, save for the letters ‘C’ and ‘I’.
The Mi 10i will feature an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor, which will be paired with 6GB of RAM. The device will boot Android 10 OS out of the box. Lastly, the device will come with a Full HD+ display. The Redmi 9 Power, on the other hand, will boast a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor, 4GB of RAM, Android 10 OS, and a Full HD+ display.
