Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its Redmi K70 series in China. It is expected to include three devices: the Redmi K70e, Redmi K70, and the Redmi K70 Pro. Recently, the official renders of the standard Redmi K70 were leaked on the internet. Today, the team at MySmartPrice spotted the device on the Geekbench database with a 2311DRK48C model number. However, if we go by the codename, it can also be the Redmi K70e.
The alleged Redmi K70 scored 1248 in the single-core test and 4177 in the multicore test. The listing also confirmed the Android 14, 15GB of RAM, 3.35 GHz CPU, and Mali-G615 MC6 GPU, which might be the soon-to-be-announced Dimensity 8300 chipset.
As per a recent leak by tipster WHY LAB, MediaTek is anticipated to introduce its sub-flagship chipset, the Dimensity 8300, within the next two weeks.
Redmi K70 Could Arrive as a POCO F6 in India
A POCO device recently surfaced on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website. The smartphone, identified under the POCO brand with the model number 2311DRK481, is expected to debut as the POCO F6 in India. This corresponds with the Redmi K70, which carries the model number 2311DRK48C. The projected launch is set for the first quarter of 2024.
To recap, Redmi introduced just one of its three K60 models, the base Redmi K60, in India last year as the POCO F5 Pro. There are speculations that two Redmi K70 variants, the K70 and K70E, could be introduced globally under the POCO brand. However, the Redmi K70 Pro is anticipated to remain exclusive to the Chinese market.
The POCO F6, with the model number 2311DRK48I, was previously identified on the IMEI database. The POCO F6 Pro smartphone was listed with model numbers 23113RKC6G and 23113RKC6I.
It’s crucial to note that initial certifications offer limited details about the smartphones, and this information should be treated with caution. Official confirmation is awaited for more accurate details.
